I've had the Kindle Keyboard for 3 years or so, and just recently got the Paperwhite model when Amazon put them on sale for $99. The Keyboard is closest to the basic $69 Kindle model, at least in terms of the reading experience. The Paperwhite's lighting feature is very nice, you can control the backlighting on it,but it does not have the feel of reading from a monitor or a tablet. I preferred the button controls on the Keyboard model over the touch screen controls of the Paperwhite, but the lighting makes the Paperwhite a more desirable model for me.

With great sound, great photos, and great liner notes. Someone needing it should go get this one on ebay. It's in a different package than the one I have, mine's a double-wide disc thing in a slipcase, that one looks a little fancier. Terrific set.

This set is on Spotify now. That should help tide me over until I get around to ordering it later this year.
