    Chico Freeman

For this still looking for a vinyl copy of Spirit Sensitive. Acoustic Sounds is doing a repress: https://store.acousticsounds.com/d/186161/Chico_Freeman-Spirit_Sensitive-180_Gram_Vinyl_Record
  2. It is definitely and of course that’s what’s most important but the sound quality surprised me in a good way
  3. Wow big compliments to Craft records. This sounds amazing.
  4. When this one was announced as a Tone Poet I decided to sell my Toshiba for the same price as the Tone Poet would be. I never really liked the sound of it and assumed the Tone Poet would sound better. I assumed right. Lovely reissue of this classic
  5. I know him mainly from his recordings with Mal and Abdullah Ibrahim. He was a great drummer! May he r.i.p
  6. There’s a good amount of samples avaible trough soundohm.com I am convinced and will go for the whole boxed set
  7. There’s a cd version as well 👍
  8. You mean you had your eye on the very same copy? 🫣
  9. Unfortunately not no. I made a pretty reasonable offer to an Austrian seller 25 euros under the selling prince and he accepted
  10. todays finisher
  11. Don’t know that one. It’s one the same label.
  12. Now this is what I’d call a forgotten classic. It has that Tapscott sound all over it and what a great band.
  13. I know the usual stuff like Komeda, Stanko, Zbieginiewsky etc... One modern group I could highly recommend is Waclaw Zimpels group Hera. All albums are recommendable but I am especially a fan of the collaboration with Hamid Drake!
  14. the new Classic Vinyl version. They did a great job 👏
  15. Thanks! As there does not seem to be a logical chronological order I’ve lost track of what had been released and what’s still left.
  16. Oh yes he’s on fire on that one. Killer band.
  17. Anyone recieved the full set already? I paid my shipping fee early July but haven’t got any confirmation or something like that
  18. Yeah I never liked the artwork of those ‘70’s. But some of them contain some of the best Blue Note records. I’m glad Blue Note uses the CD and Connaiseur cover art.
  19. It’s great but you already know if you have the cd, it sounds amazing like most tone poets do
  20. Samples sound pretty promising thanks. I’ll probably get this.
  21. So theres new Clifford Jordan to be heard. As I mentioned in another thead I heard the Vienna composition and it sounded great. HAven't heard the whole record but it looks tempting. Personell is: Clifford Jordan (tenor saxophone), Cees Slinger (piano), Ruud Jacobs (bass), Han Bennink (drums), Steve Boston (congas) Anyone else heard it yet?
  22. someone inspired me to play this one. I love the Vienna composition and heard it play in a record store but a different version. It was the new Jordan release by the Dutch Jazz Archives : It sounded pretty damn good and I am considering ordering it
  23. Does it look like this? Been to Italy on vacation these holidays and there's one of these in every Italian accomodation. YOu put water in the bottom, coffee in an iron filter and the pressure pushes the hot water trough the coffee. Can't get much purer than that. I was sold instantly and ordered one directly when I was back in the Netherlands. So now I get these: Grind them and make myself some delicious Italian coffee. The downside is of course that making a cup takes some time plus attention (the making process have some points of attention) and you'll get like 3 cups maximum but the taste is amazing (and the whole process pretty fun).
