Wow the bonus session Love Always is amazing. Unfortunately only one 15 minute track on a single sided LP but I like it a lot. The composition Love Always is credited to Jef Gilson here but I am very sure I know this composition from another record probably by another artist. I hate it when I just can’t think which one. Maybe you guys could help me out?
Keno Speller is only on two tracks which makes this double LP essentially a solo saxophone/piano/flute/bass clarinet album. Not the most accessible but definitely very interesting stuff. Lancaster has an amazing sound and it’s an intimate listening experience.
Again side A is definitely better than side A. I like it very, very much. Side B is okay but less interesting. The single is a nice addition that was with the original release as well.
Sorry you’re right about that I’d like to hear that session but as you mentioned it doesn’t justify the price nor the weird combination with that ‘compilation by modern Blue Note artists.
