  1. The hair bands all looked like "Blade Runner" rejects. Sounded like them too.
  2. And they call jazz fans elitist snobs. That remark reeked of that kind of attitude. At the very least that clerk gets a . To my way of thinking good customer relations involve making your customers comfortable. That kind of negativity achieves just the opposite IMO.
  3. Only if Dave says so.
  4. Or if they change the name of a certain Iraqui city to Bossra.
  5. Maybe they'll call it "Almond Roca".
  6. I haven't visited there in awhile and I'm afraid that if I do the urge to spend a shitload of money would be overwhelming.
  7. There's a terrific garbage dump located near my city... If they have printed these up, maybe they could just sell them on the BN website. A good idea but La Roca would probably pitch a fit about that too. Since I don't know the whole story, I'm not going to come down on Sims. I'll save all my venom for Dubya. It's his war. He broke it, he bought it. The inference here was that LaRoca(Sims)had something to do with this . Maybe more information will come out on this in days ahead. Good point about W.

  9. Good for you Scott!!!!
  10. I'm with you on "Peligroso" Mike but I will have to check out "Manhattan Latin" sometime.
  11. Grover Washington Jr and Deodato.
  12. Agreed and that's not all they could do. This is an evil and insidious idea and a giant step towards complete facism.
  13. After reading all the good things that the board members have said about this in the past I was planning on buying this but obviously this isn't going to happen now and whenever it does come out I probably will not purchase this. LaRoca can take his war drums and thump them down the road afaic.
  14. Nielsen reports that the Grammys have had their lowest ratings since 1995. Viewer dropoff was 28 per cent from 2004.
  15. Guacamole done right and some good chips-that works for me.
  16. Were'nt you the one who has never eaten a Tamale?
  17. If I'm ever in Tucson where is a good place to get Chicken Mo-lay?
  18. Is this a midwestern thing? I was sitting in a restaurant in Pagosa Springs a few years back just a short distance from a family from Iowa. Apparently someone in their party ordered some "Mexican" food. When the order was produced the person who ordered it looked at the Guacamole and asked "What's this green stuff?". Somehow I managed not to laugh out loud.
  19. Sorry Allan but I like the OP set... However if you pay my light bill....Hmmm??
  20. Unlike Allan Lowe and Weizen I like the instrument just fine but once again to each their own. Players I like on the instrument, in no paticular order, are Trane, Gary Bartz,Steve Marcus and Paquito D'Rivera.
  21. One that I like from Cal(hell I can't think of one I DON'T like)but one I would like to put a good word in for is "Huracan".
  22. Some well deserved winners in the jazz categories but I have not watched the grammies in years . For the most part I consider the overall process a sham.
