Is this a midwestern thing? I was sitting in a restaurant in Pagosa Springs a few years back just a short distance from a family from Iowa. Apparently someone in their party ordered some "Mexican" food. When the order was produced the person who ordered it looked at the Guacamole and asked "What's this green stuff?". Unlike Allan Lowe and Weizen I like the instrument just fine but once again to each their own. Players I like on the instrument, in no paticular order, are Trane, Gary Bartz,Steve Marcus and Paquito D'Rivera.

One that I like from Cal(hell I can't think of one I DON'T like)but one I would like to put a good word in for is "Huracan".

Some well deserved winners in the jazz categories but I have not watched the grammies in years . For the most part I consider the overall process a sham.
