  1. SANJAYA!
  2. I swear that was Richard Tee, not Knechtel.
  3. Best. Use. Of. Shockwave. Ever.
  4. Maybe it's just because of the point I'm at in my career, but I agree with Paul. I'd rather see butts in the seats and people talking than no one there.
  5. My wife would agree with you, Harold. My problem is I only like really, really expensive coffee. Therefor, I do not drink coffee regularly, because I can't afford the really good stuff.
  6. Pistachios. I love pistachios. And cashews and peanuts and hazel nuts and everything else, but pistachios are my favorite! YUM!
  7. The B3's pedals do span the entire length of the organ. The organs that have an AGO 32 note pedalboard are even wider than a B3 (and of course weigh more, too).
  8. Something tells me they taught the dog to do that (and placed the "mattress" in the water off-camera after the dog tried to get the ball on the other edge at first).
  9. We have snow on the ground. It's really cold. On Tuesday afternoon it was so warm I was able to clean some of my home's windows in a T-shirt. Yesterday it snowed all day. Gotta love Michigan!
  10. Seriously though, I thought the Swedes were liberal? Let the people name their kid what they want... who cares?
  11. They are huge. I would not want to carry one of those bad boys around.
  12. Jim - to be picky, this is not quite true. On baroque instruments in particular, pedal boards are flat I was speaking of the AGO standard. I should've been more detailed. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AGO_pedalboard
  13. I think I'm going to give the uncooked half to my dad. We barely made a dent in the half I cooked tonight!
  14. No, the B3 has a 24 note pedalboard. The standard on pipe organs is 32 note, but Hammond didn't think that most people played the pedals on either extreme, so he cut those out to save money. You'll also notice that the pedal board is not concave but flat, unlike a real pipe organ pedal board. Again, this was to save money. However, Hammond did produce a couple of different models with a full, concave, 32 note pedal board. The D series and the RT series spring to mind.
  15. Happy birthday to your son, Bruce. Man, where are you guys? I only cooked half of this 10 lbs corned beef brisket and even with that, there's a huge chunk of it just sitting here. I'm stuffed!!! Potatos, cabbage, and carrots all came out DELICIOUS! I'm gonna have some mighty tasty sammiches tomorrow, too! Next up: Gotta make a cherry pie for Easter.
  16. 4 hours. Come on up! I got 10 lbs of corned beef!!!! (I'm cooking half at the moment).
  17. Trust me, they're not.
  18. I just started cooking some corned beef. Will have carrots, potatos, and cabbage with it tonight. Yummy!
  19. The thing I don't get about this move by WDET, is why are they shifting everything to news when Michigan Radio's signal is right next to them on the dial and already has all these same programs (at pretty much the same times)? It seems completely wasteful.
