Densmore is the only one in that group with integrity. If it wasn't for him, we'd be hearing Doors tunes in commercials, ringtones, etc. His stance is "we've made enough money... why ruin the songs by selling out?" I have a lot of respect for that.

And who would the Pistons possible trade Ben Wallace for on Miami's team? Big Ben is the heart and soul of the Pistons, not LB. I like Larry Brown as a coach but I think Saunders will do a great job. Saunders is more offensive minded, which is what the Pistons need. They have the defense thing wrapped up. Now they need some PLAYS and to acquire a shooter in the off-season. If they keep they do that, they'll be unstoppable.

SS1, complain to eMusic. It's supposed to be on their site... all CDBaby artists that signed up for digital distribution are supposed to be on the eMusic site, but only a handful are after nearly two years. I talked to Derick Sivers about it (the president of CDBaby) and he said they are about to drop eMusic because they are so hard to deal with. I would write them an email and ask why we aren't on there, available for download.

That's not really what I'm talking about. I'm talking about playing a left-hand walking bass line and putting in "ghost" notes on the upbeats. Usually it's a fifth, but it doesn't really matter because you're not really playing notes.

Yeah, I think so. Anyone who already knows their way around the keys will find some good stuff in there, especially a pianist. The left hand is especially interesting because he's "ghosting" which is what I've always done. You'll see what I mean if you buy it.

I'm watching them right now! Volume 3 is pretty cool because he breaks down some runs. He likes to play in G. For the beginner, this might not be the DVDs to get. He doesn't really go into any detail about why things work. But for me, I can watch him and understand why he's doing what he's doing. He's very bluesy. Reminds me of McGriff.

I have issues with how Brown has been painted in the media. Just think of the Rick Carlisle situation 2 years ago. The Pistons organization is trying to say that Brown has no loyalty to the team, but what did they do to Rick Carlisle as soon as Brown became available? And now they're doing the same thing to Brown after two years two NBA Finals and one championship because Saunders is available.

I got the Jimmy Foster DVDs today! Gonna give 'em a spin and see what's cookin'. I'll report back later...

I just picked up the Epson R200 inkjet printer for $80. You can print directly on CDs with it (they have to be printable CDs, but they are cheap) and it comes with software to make the labels. I've been using a combination of Photoshop and the Epson software to get really good results!
