http://cdbaby.com/cd/walden3 I saw him here in Lansing a couple of years ago. Very nice tone, and a great player overall.
  3. Double Leslies is such a nice treat. I am definately bringing out my other Leslie for the RD gig this Saturday. If I could, I'd bring it to Baker's, too. Is Baker's where you are planning the live recording? We're recording almost all of our gigs lately. All the better to get the good stuff when it comes. Full tracks.
  4. I haven't seen Chuck online since is signed off with "Have nice futures".
  5. Words to live by.
  6. Guitar, Steve Cotter Drums, Ramone Bonda (not sure on the spelling)
  7. He might be an actual wookie, however.
  8. I finally went for a pair of these, and I couldn't be happier with them. 15db is just about right for onstage. I feel like I can hear everything more clearly, and the sound level is just about right. Loud enough that I don't feel disconnected from the music, and quiet enough that I don't flinch when Randy does those end-of-song bash-outs on his china crash.
  9. That's not Byrum in the photo. Unless his appearance has changed dramatically since the last time I saw him! Definitely not Bollenback in that picture either: too much hair.
  10. I don't recognize his bandmates.
  11. It looked like an older video; perhaps he changed his approach over the years. I think he also worked with Jonas Helborg (sp?). Never been to a NAMM show. Except for Elderly Instruments, I usually can't stand being in music stores for very long. Maybe I should stay away.
  12. That too. I actually laughed out loud when he started to demonstrate his pentatonic fingerings with full metal distortion.
  13. Holy crap. Meaning, you like, or dislike? I honestly heard lots of notes, but not much music.
  14. We're back there in six weeks, and we have an April date @ the FireFly. Hopefully you can make one of those. Thanks for the review, Paul! It was a good night for us, both for the music and all the great people we met. I thought maybe this cold I'm shaking off would have dragged me down, but when the music started, that all fell away.
  15. Getting a college degree has become a consumerist activity, in that people apparently feel that since they paid for it, they should get that diploma. Standards have been lowered in other areas as well, such as obtaining credit, getting a mortgage... I think it all ties into the attitude, especially prevalent in America, that you can get something for nothing.
  16. If you don't mind my asking, where is your mother buried?
  17. Ya learn something new everyday.
  18. Silly question perhaps, but why is it called a "verse" when it functions as an introduction?
  19. Well, jeez Alison, every guy should know the allure of an "older woman". Of course, you wouldn't be that to me...
  20. Damn! We have a gig that day.
  21. FWIW, I preferred the non-animated version of rostasi's avatar...
  22. Would it blow Zora's mind if he came over to your house?
  23. We're working on getting in there.
