  1. Yeah? Well I haven't read the John Paton thread either.
  2. Sorry, didn't watch the whole thing. Um, WTF Paco?

    Thank you, Mark.
  4. The flu? That's a drag, and on a gig day, too.

    Bill Frisell

That's a great list. As you said, many familiar names there (representing a broad range of styles), with quite a few I've never heard of. Apropos to this thread:

Hey! Just like old times. <click>
  7. Yesterday was cloudy and rainy/misty, but I was actually enjoying it. Today, however, that wind will take a bite out of your ass!
  8. It's windy as hell, and I just saw snow blowing down the road.
  9. It's the barbershop for me, since they know best how to do the buzz cut. BTW, have a look at this page. Why so much documentation of Andy's haircut?
  10. Dude! Ivo Popasov??? Prepare for intensity!
  11. I'm pretty lucky as far as leaf-work goes, since the only major source of leaves I have to deal with (an old maple tree) is at the east edge of my property. Usually we get some strong westerly winds, and that pretty much blows 90% of the leaves out of my yard right there. There are several reasons to cut down a tree, but IMO, that fact that it drops leaves in the fall is not one of them. We had some gorgeous colors here, and some great weather, at the end of October.
  12. Your wish was the manager's command.
  13. The loneliest monk? Seriously, that sounds like someone worth getting to know.
  14. I did say it was "one thing to consider". Certainly, if there's quality in the construction and design, style will be less of an issue in some cases. We do still like art deco stuff. I guess I'm a bit conservative in my tastes, though. I'm not overly fond of the sharp angles and jutting metal in the CalTrans building, for instance. It just doesn't say "Welcome" to me. :rsly:
  15. That looks like a real "love-it-or-hate-it" kind of design, and given Kunstler's bent, I'd say he'd be pretty well predisposed to hate it. One thing to consider is this: what is the future of a building like this? Will it still be thought a good idea 40 or 50 years from now?
  16. That would be the one underlying it all, yes.
  17. Thanks for the link - that looks interesting as well.
  18. Crazy. This was the Post Office in Lansing. The old City Hall is behind it.
  19. Thanks!
  20. Astrology anyone?
  21. Right! And while you're at it, check out track 11 RONALD SNIJDERS "Lennox (edit)" :bwallace2: Even better (worse) is track 23 HANS VAN HEMERT "De Glazen Stad" Translation please?
  22. I don't have that many eyes. ← BTW, I think I'm going to get the box.
  23. It's beginning to look more abstract. Try staring at all three simultaneously.
  24. :rsmile: :rsmile: :rsmile: :rsmile:
  25. Whatta guy. And you didn't even take the setup by asking if the farting noise was coming from me.
