  1. I was looking around at some sort of "homebrew" app called "colors" to enable my kid's DS to work as a sketch tool when I found this vid of interest. I gather you can get this drawing program for the iPhone now as well. colors gotta hand it to this cat's motivational cue: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGbsqYdWSrQ no sndtrk to this one but wow!
  2. them ha ha has were scary and viewers rightly complained ... it's no wonder he goes with the hos now. and what! no answers!! "who saved his brother's life when captured by giant shellfish?"
  3. That's scratching in rap parlance! And cat parlance too! speshly if he's spinning this!
  4. that River runs thru Cleveland and as with most greasy soul jazz ... ... can catch fire if not careful!
  5. probably mentioned already but this is a good start - via e-music samples. Indestructable Beat of Soweto ... and then Volume 2: Thunder Before Dawn
  6. but seriously i believe you can save the google front page thumbnail image to you desktop and then upload it from there. tho you need to have a cool image to do that!
  7. Idiot. so it's not just me that's been getting that "increase the size of your avatar overnight" spam.
  8. I don't go as often as I'd like but last Saturday I spent a couple hours at Mystery Train up on Cape Ann ... Moved all the stores from Boston & Cambridge up here and recently went to just one floor with the store. Seems like they have tens of thousands of records in the space reserved for maybe half. The days of finding a gem are gone tho. Next time I will make sure I don't eat and do some yoga before going in so I can slink behind the massive racks and get comfy in a foot wide floor section to look thru a cord of soundtracks. It's kind of like crate digging and changing your oil at the same time.
  9. DAMN! all in one spot!!! yay ... I had not seen them compiled before. thanks! his gif to the left here still kills me!
  10. using one of them ADD converters?
  11. Jazzpizzi! you need, and urgently:
  12. just letting us know that they weren't really blondes.
  13. I loved those pages! Still have some in my scrap files. Bill Utterback was the artist. Would love a comp book of his work for Playboy ... right up there with Drucker IMO. Can't seem to find any images but here is a Kai
  14. Have you ever had the opportunity to see "Playboy's Penthouse," circa 1960? It was a short-lived variety show that is on DVD (in the US, at least). It's interesting to see Heff during that period and trying to reconcile him with the guy now hanging around all those frightening bags of protoplasm. Never heard of it. MG That PP was only on for a spit, right? My neighbor and I used to stay up late watching Playboy After Dark tho! just waiting and waiting for them all to stop talking and show some protoplasm.
  15. I've called Grado on some simple replacement parts, more than a half dozen years ago, and spoke with a very nice woman both times. Seemed like a real old fashioned operation with good people. She set me up with what I needed and waived shipping as I recall. WTF? grattle? just a specific Grado thing I see?? figured it was some savannah fed organic beef. Just give them a shout. And ypu might want to grovel.
  16. You're taking all the fun out of this! Seriously, though...that hair doesn't fit in with the rest of the photo. That's Duffy/Dusty on the left and Carole King looking for a comeback from behind.
  17. Reminds me that it's time to pull out the Big Al Mistletoe Mash Up from a couple years back. My kids have been listening to the Xmas all the time station here already and if I hear the Beach Boys "Little Saint Nick" one more time I'm gonna blow. (I was gonna say if I hear The Carpenters one more time I'm gonna puke...)
  18. LincVolt a tip o the hat to George Barris maybe.
  19. now they have one for the wife, too!
