Some interesting names in that one from 68. Roseboro hitting the 1-5-3 TP from pitcher Dooley Womack to third baseman Bobby Cox (yes, that Bobby Cox) to Mickey Mantle. yeah, I heard about Cox being involved, during the braves broadcast. Must have been a pretty crappy Yankees team in 1968 to give Bobby 490 ab's , when he only hit .229! Well, Phils showed they are the team right now...amazing Moyer can still throw 81 and get guys out!!! John Smoltz and Joe Simpson said there must be B.P. pitchers that throw harder!

Digital Photocopiers Loaded With Secrets

Your Office Copy Machine Might Digitally Store Thousands of Documents That Get Passed on at Resale By Armen Keteyian (CBS) At a warehouse in New Jersey, 6,000 used copy machines sit ready to be sold. CBS News chief investigative correspondent Armen Keteyian reports almost every one of them holds a secret. Nearly every digital copier built since 2002 contains a hard drive - like the one on your personal computer - storing an image of every document copied, scanned, or emailed by the machine. In the process, it's turned an office staple into a digital time-bomb packed with highly-personal or sensitive data. More

That's up there with Barry Bonds (232 is his highest) Perhaps if he starts juicing, the record will be in his reach!

:excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: After hearing that Kyle Kendrick, he of the 17.25 ERA(I think) kept the braves scoreless for 8, with Halliday pitching tomorrow, I figured the braves had a good chance of being swept by the Phils. Still might lose 2 out of 3, but at least the Filthies know the Braves will put up some sort of a fight for the NL East! EDIT: forgot to mention I was out most of the night, heard the comeback in the 9th, and just walked in to see Nate McClouth, who has been in a terrible slump all year, hit the game winner. Never have seen a team all run into the clubhouse, a great moment with him coming into the dugout, and no one there!

More here. This guy is remarkably ignorant of NYC. There was only one baseball team in NYC from 1957-1962- who would a kid from Brooklyn or Queens root for? In '62 the Mets began, and only those who are attracted to lovable comic losers, or Yank haters or die-hard NL fans rooted for them. I went to my first baseball game in 1962, a doubleheader at Yankee Stadium and became a Yank fan for life there. I'm no Iscariot and any suggestion of same is a steaming pile of poo. That said, I'm not too crazy about the young kids who are Yank fans and only know winning and playoffs, etc. and are spoiled rotten. Yanks lose two games and they want to trade the team. I was a Yank fan in the dark years of Horace Clark, the reign of error of Stump Merrill, etc. This guy's an ignorant yutz.

Like microscopic inchworms, cancer cells slink away from tumors to travel and settle elsewhere in the body. Now, researchers at Weill Cornell Medical College report in today's online edition of the journal Nature that new anti-cancer agents break down the looping gait these cells use to migrate, stopping them in their tracks. More here. Hey now, Mr. Ghost is an out of town Yankee fan!

Think Cliff Lee. Sigh. Kinda how we braves fans felt when you got Raul Ibanez, and we got Garrett Anderson. At least we didn't trade him away though! Jason Heyward numbers as of tonight. .303 3 HR's 12 RBI's, On pace for 54 Hr 216 RBI's, which I think it quite likely! I may have said this before, but the Nats are not going to lose 100 games this year. A lot of offense, even without a right fielder. When Stephen Strasburg shows up, man....I am not going to want to face the Nats!
-
Congrats! Win 8-9 in a row, and next thing you know, the Cards and Brewers are in the rear view mirror!
-
Just checked espn, your team comes to town the 20th to the 22nd, then we play you all in Philly the 7th thru the 9th of May. I'm just glad the Phils traded Cliff Lee, or there wouldn't even be a race! Still, it's going to be very tough to top you guys...and teams like the Marlins and the Nats are going to be teams no one wants to face later in the season. Thank God the Mets didn't makes any good free agent signings short of Bay. They may end up in last place this year!
-
Hey J.H., the other J.H., after hitting yet another homer last night(2nd night opposite field homer off of the same lefty reliever) he's on pace for 81 HR's 216 RBI's and only 243 Strikeouts! Weird series in San Fran. Giants need to stop swinging at everything, and the braves need to stop Booby Cox from making decisions...but that won't happen til next year! Melky has 3 hits in 25 AB's. I kept reading how he was really going to benefit from coming over to the NL

Well alrighty then! Did you happen to notice who distributed it??? The fabulous Treniers. Any relation to the plain ol' Ordinary Treniers!??? Not sure this could be called ordinary, but... Heh...I didn't know of that song, now things are getting clearer! -
'Minister' is probably not an example you want to use. No. I think that is exactly the example I want to use. You are are all more than willing to trash Tiger Woods because he cheated on his wife. What I am saying is he is a professional golfer, not the perfect husband or perfect man. Hence, not the next in line to the Pope. Unless you have some issue with his race, it seems to me that you are overstating your disgust in favor of reality. His affairs are a personal matter, not a PGA matter. Tiger Woods isn't a perfect person, but he deserves nothing like the personal intrusion he has edured via the tabloid inspired lynch mob media. I further submit, that if Tiger was White you guys wouldn't even be spending time on his daliances. Tell me I'm wrong. You're wrong. If he had one dalliance, it really wouldn't have been news. But, what was the final total??? 15-20??? I don't watch golf, but you can't help seeing highlights on espn, and I used to dislike Phil Mickelson, since he didn't like Tiger. Figured he was just jealous knowing he would never be as good as him. Now I know why he didn't like him. I think people could "understand" Tiger's actions more if say, he had been married 15-20 years, or wasn't married to a really hot woman. But, whatever....it's not like he killed anyone. I think he has suffered greatly in the eyes of the public, lost his wife...lost millions, if not future billions of dollars. He clearly still only really cares about one thing, Golf, and is still the best player on the planet.

Happy Birthday Bright Moments!!!

Happy :excited: :excited: :excited: Birthday!!!! Haley Bennett says the very same thing. Don't know if you know of her, or not(just heard of her last night) Relax guys, she's born in 1988... -
And the Giants won. Only undefeated team in the MLB. BOO-ya! A couple impressions from this game: Tim Hudson looks like he's going to have a great year. The Giants have the look of a team that can be special this year. The J-Hey Kid seems like he's going to be up-and-down this year, but, for a twenty year old, he can be special. Edgar Rentaria is playing great now that he's healthy, and even Aaron Rowand is looking good. I'm sticking with my prediction of the Giants in the World Series. I was one of those scratching their heads as to why the Braves re-signed him for a pretty penny. He looks a lot better now than when he came back(in less than 12 months) last year. The crappy home plate ump missed Rowand's bat hitting McCann, but still, you can tell the Giants are not the team of last year. If Renteria can hit .290 and Huff hits like he did a few years back(I love how folks will act like he is washed up at 33) you might just be right...at least I would say a playoff team.
-
Hey, I would take 324 strikeouts, if it would go along with those 41 HR's and 203 RBI's that espn projects as well! J.H., I don't know if you saw any of the game, but the home plate ump sucked (for both teams) K Zone, or whatever sports south calls their stike zone box, showed one pitch to Heyward was...oh, I don't know, 4-5 inches outside. Even beyond a Gregg Maddux strike. Teams are clearly going to try to catch the outside corner. And nothing but offspeed stuff, which is to be expected. Still, guess who saw more pitches(31) than anyone else on either team??? Not your typical 20 year old, for sure.

Well, Tiger shot a 68 yesterday, so we will be get to hear his name even more in the next several days! Yippee!!!!

Do what the NFL does and spit the TV revenue. Teams that have the benefit of drawing 3-4 million a year and sell luxury box seating get to keep and do whatever they want with the profits. Red Sox and Yankees should have an advantage due to location and loyalty but they shouldn't have a 500 dollar million advantage just for TV revenue. They wouldn't make that kind of money playing split squad games so give the other team some of that like the NFL. In this case have a minimum cap but not a maximum cap to see if helps change things. Agree. The money the Yankees take in from YES dwarfs what other small market teams can get from their TV markets. From the article.... Randy Levine: "We play by all the rules and there doesn't seem to be any complaints when teams such as the Brewers receive hundreds of millions of dollars that they get from us in revenue sharing the last few years. In the initial seven years of the luxury tax, the Yankees have paid teams nearly $175 million in revenue sharing, according to the BizofBaseball.com. Okay Randy let's do the math - $175 Million divided by 29 teams = $6 Million per team Divided by 7 years = less than $1 million per team per year. That's significantly less than the "hundreds of millions of dollars" that he claims the Brewers received from the Yanks the last few years. WorldB3, I am too tired right now to do more digging, but I am pretty sure only the bottom half(bottom third?) get any revenue sharing moola. In fact, my fuzzy brain is recalling the luxury tax isn't even part of revenue sharing....says so at the bottom of this page. http://www.bizofbaseball.com/ (Actually, not the bottom of the page, this story http://www.bizofbaseball.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4272:mlbs-luxury-tax-revenue-sharing-the-yankees-and-the-randy-levine-story&catid=26:editorials&Itemid=39 ) So, the Yankee prez overstated things, but the Brewers are still very much Selig's team, and will forever whine about money issues. I would like to see something like NBA salary caps, something to allow teams to keep their best players, IF they are willing to.
