And he will probably hit 20 flyballs that will go over the fence 212 feet away from home plate! Heck, Damon hit what, 17 at home, 7 on the road??? Still, I don't like that no one wants Damon for one main reason, his age. Well, having Borass as an agent probably doesn't help at this point of his career.

Is that for a whole year, or just the part of the year you've been on? I thought the BBC was expensive, but my licence fee will be paid next week - £142.50 or 163.42 Euro, for the whole year. MUCH cheaper than commercial television MG Ok guys...explain something to a foreigner. In the U.S. we have "public" tv. Usually one channel, though I am sure other cities have 2 available as we do here in Atlanta. Government, businesses and donations from the people keep it alive and kicking. How many channels do you get in each country, for this princely some??? And MG, how is it much cheaper than commercial TV??? Or are you talking about a monthly fee for Cable/satellite service????

Wow, where'd it all go??? I was expecting something else, like a weird snake, or for it to turn into a baseball!

This guy is nuts! Check out the I-Phone one as well, if you can stomach it...

For me it's not owning a television that slows me down. I'm amazed by people who, when I mention not having one (usually in response to "did you see" questions, I get serious sympathy and offers of old televisions. They just can't believe that someone would do without one by choice. Thank God you don't spend hours a day in front of a monitor anymore! -

Apparently, you have not seen Kim Kardashian's epic butt! Not to take anything away from her all natural :eye: But yeah, the world would be a better place if we had never heard of the Kardashians, Paris Hilton, Jon and Kate, etc, etc... -
My Dad found this old St. Louis newspaper Sunday Mag on the Retirement of Stan Musical. Don't have a working scanner, so lets see if a digital camera is adequate in reproducing it.

Only a little over a minute long, but man is the guitar and bass work great! Gene Austin (piano), Candy Candido (bass), Otto "Coco" Heimel (guitar)

Thats from the 1944 film Broadway Rhythm. As you can imagine, the first time I saw this, my eyes about bugged out of my head ! I bet they never spent a lonely Friday or Saturday night!

Excellent detective work Jim! Funny, site acts like they have the only footage of her, and it's from 25 + years later!

After about 3 weeks or so where it didn't get above 45 degrees, 2 days in a row of mid 50's to 60 made it almost feel like spring in the ATL! It's been so cold, for so long, that a nearby creek/small river was getting some ice on it! Never seen that before. I saw a small man made lake yesterday, and it still had a thin layer of ice in spots.

Jay Leno had the highest rated late night show. NBC decided he was getting too old for that show, so replaced him with Conan. Jay goes on at 10 PM, tanks. Conan then tanks in Leno's old slot. Affiliates bitch and moan about the much lower audience numbers for the local news. It takes a real genius to fuck up the one time slot NBC was winning, 11:35. Now they will likely lose Conan, and have Conan's fans pissed at Leno. Then not only will Leno have to compete with Letterman, but with Conan on Fox, or ABC! And NBC chief Jeff Zucker was recently given a 3 year contract extension from G.E. for coming in 4th. He has to be a super genius to still have a job. -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM5Z-u0A5IY From 1935(as it says when the clip starts) So, no CGI. She has no sleeves on. Don't see her do anything with her left hand. Don't see how they could be lit, in his jacket.... . . . . . Hmm, watching that a 2nd time, full screen...perhaps they are hidden on him. Seems like smoke starts coming out of his jacket as she's about to grab one...but how do they get them to light seconds before she smokes them???

Sorry to here this Soul Stream. As hard as this is on you, and the kids, at least it's been, as you say, amicable. My best friend is friends with a guy who is going through a divorce as well, but it's anything but amicable. He too hasn't always had a steady work history. I met the guy once when he was in town. Very passionate about everything,(loves to paint, write, etc) but a complete lack of focus. Serious ADHD. A new job once, twice a year...no career. Anyway, they have 3 kids and she has been the main breadwinner, but she only has to work 2 days a week as a nurse, and he is Mr. Mom, and homeschooled the kids to boot. Well, about a year or so ago, she decided she couldn't put up with him anymore, so he moved out. Was working with his Dad painting houses up north, then she dropped the bombshell that not only were they divorcing, but she put out a restraining order on him, claiming he had molested their children! I'm sure others have heard stories like this as well. I have only met him once, and while you never know with people, I would be shocked if he did anything to his kids. Usually child molesters in their late 40's would have a long track record of harming kids. He has none. So, here he is not only seeing his 10+ year marriage in shambles, but now accused of the worst thing one can be accused of! Can't see his kids, having to work out of state to earn a living...you can imagine how he feels right now. Even if nothing can be proven, will the judge error on the side of caution and give full custody to the wife??? At least in your situation, you and your former wife can still talk, meet in front of the kids, etc...I'm sure it's not a huge comfort, but things can always be worse....

The fault is similar in structure to the San Andreas fault that slices through California, Dr. Mann said. Such earthquakes, which are called strike-slip, tend to be shallow and produce violent shaking at the surface. “They can be very devastating, especially when there are cities nearby,” Dr. Mann said. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/13/world/americas/13haiti.html

Some reports say 500,000 may have died, 5% of the entire population! In a matter of minutes. One really can't comprehend that fact...

There's a rumor that La Russa might PH him this year just to reset Mark's Hall Of Fame clock. If it happens (and I'm skeptical it will) who knows what another 5 years could do as far how the voters feel about this. That's true. What happens if Sosa, Bonds and Clemens admit in the near future??? Bonds and Clemens had HOF numbers even without steroids...but, they still did them.
-
I do think it was hard on him to tell everyone he knows that he really did do it....Hank Aaron said something like, he didn't murder anyone, he did steroids. I agree. Shame he did it, and he's going to pay for it, he will never go into the hall.

So very little moisture fell Thursday/Friday morn but what did and was in the shade has made a mess of things. The ground is very cold, since we have been below normal temp wise for weeks. Usually normal is 50-55 then a cold blast with moisture. Anyway Our subdivision is very hilly. And no salt trucks around. At the base of our street was just a bit of snow and ice. Fun to skid thru since it was only about 10 feet. But, not at the bottom of the last street, but up a little ways, I saw a 40-50 foot patch from one side of the street to the other. A SUV was going backwards…gee, I thought couldn’t he make it up??? Hmmm, then I get on the ice…fairly steep hill…all of the sudden, I am sliding down and right towards him, Fudge! Only I didn’t say fudge! Fortunately she keep rolling back, since I did the panic move I should know better, and braked hard…putting in Reverse seemed to do the trick. Should have been in low down the hill. Then, 4 hours later coming back up the hill, I got a good head of steam going, and slid across from the right to the left side of the road! Thankfully, no one was on that side! I have been in the snow a few times here, and ice many, many years ago in Jacksonville(snow on top of it) but this was the worst. Just glare ice this evening. Scary. Been watching folks slip sliding all over Atlanta on the News the last few days. Lots of trucks sliding backwards, buses too. A 29 car accident yesterday. A.M. Amazing what damage a lousy 1/2 to 1 inch of snow can do. And most roads are dry right now! Would have been much better off with 3-4 inches of snow. Side Camber??? Are you talking about a side mirror??? Or the camber angle of the wheels??? Much confuzzlement on my part.
