well maybe - I am not sure that Lennon is synching to the solo and the cameramen for a lot of these rock shows were clueless about who they should focus on.
This video would seem to confirm your suspicions, TTK:
Not really - I am pretty sure that is a lip-synched performance. DId you notice there are no microphones for the singers and the electric guitars have no chords coming out of them? Also people in the audience dancing only inches away from Lennon and clapping hands and yet those sounds not picked up.
Finally, this sounds exactly like the recorded version.
I rest my case.

Lon,
Congratulations on your birthday and get well soon!
Although today you don't feel well, seems like it has been a better year for you than some previous ones!!
were these missing tracks on previous cd or lp issues of Five Spot releases? I don't have my copies in front of me but I don't remember these tunes being in the repertoire.

They always answer the phone during business hours.
I only call during busniness hours: the problem isn't answering the phone - the problem is that the person whom I am told is handling this problem is not available to talk when I call and for whom I have left a message - does not seem to be able to get back to me.
J&R knows nothing about any error corrected copies.
I called True BLue to ask about a replacement for a defective copy and they haven't returned my calls.
It has been 4 months now since this thing came out.
Is it just me or are you beginning to think that BLue Note is not intending to do anything for those of us who purchased defective copies?
Bebop-
Yeah but the problem with Cadence is that $6.00/ order minimum shipping charge which comes to $3.00/disc.
Also for NY residents they charge tax.
Anyone see a better deal on these Krivdas? strangely Amazon is offering only "Satanic" on cd - the Alchemist is MP3 download only.
I see now that the '55 version of Little Melonae is on the domestic Legacy version of Round About Midnight.
Does anyone know if the '58 version appears on any domestic release?
Lon,
How would you compare this new KOB on cd to the Japanese DSD versions? My initial listen says the japanese versions have a wider soundstage and the instruments seem a bit more spread. Maybe the image is not quite as tight on the japanese - maybe a little haze there - and the background not as quiet. But I am not sure which I prefer at this time.
Anyone else have both these versions and wish to comment?
I picked up the 2 disc Legacy edition. not sure if it sounds better than the Japanese 9000 series DSD versions of KOB and 1958 Miles.
One very annoying thing is that the second disc leave off the versions of "Little Melonae" which appear on my "1958 Miles" disc. While admittedly one of those tracks is actually from 55, why leave these off- they had the time even with the live track of So What.
