  2. ...the book can be had on-line for $120.00 or so; worth every penny IMHO~~~ It may take me until the end of spring to read it completely . May have to build a new book case to hold it....it's freakin' huge!!!
  3. Mel will be at the Green Mill with Peter Bernstein the week before we play there in January. ...another great show at the Green Mill on January 27th will be Dana Hall with Tim Warfield and Terrel Stafford!

I'm off to Chicago to see Frank Morgan tonight, spending Christmas Eve with my better half's family in Lafayette, Indiana and Christmas Day with my family in Indy~ Looking forward to a great and properous 2006 for everyone!   6. He's now in NY. The trio will play in a tiny (non-jazz) club in Indy tonight but I'll be out of town......that just killls me to miss it! m~
  7. I was asked to photograph Killer Ray Appleton receiving his Indiana Hall of Fame award tonight at the Jazz Kitchen in Indy. Here is an image after the show with Mel Rhyne, Tenor player David Young (G. Russell's Stratusphunk) and Killer Ray Appleton.

  12. Brad, I have the entire set of BeeHives and you're right; very good stuff. Believe it or not, I bug Jim Neumann about releasing on cd everytime I see him. I'll see him again in the next couple weeks for dinner and a show and I'll bug him again!!! m~
  13. ...on page 62 of the book there is a photograph of who I'm sure is Charles McPherson but the caption says Bobby McPherson as does the index......does he have a twin brother that plays alto named Bobby or is this an error, twice? m~

  15. I don't really know much about Leloir but my friend Jim Neumann just sent me an early Christmas gift, a book that is called du Jazz plein les yeux. 97 pages of jazz images I've never seen before.....outstanding! Mark

  22. This print has been signed by Fred Anderson and Henry Grimes!!! Mark, Being a B&W print, did you get the signatures in silver? I have a few B&W's signed in silver and they look phenomenal. Kevin Kevin, The prints are in acid free, white mats; they are signed on the mat with a thin line black marker. I know what you mean about the silver on b/w prints, very cool looking!!! m~
