  1. I couldn't agree MORE, which leads directly to the obvious question: WHEN the hell is it going to be re-issued? I'd say Here To Stay is one of Hubbard's top two or three Blue Notes, easily. RVG the damn thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. I hope so!
  3. That old Decca double-album; that's the one for me.
  4. ...And for $$ reasons!
  5. Same here. I knew little about Stanley's work before getting this box.
  6. Well, Art Farmer perhaps.
  7. Jim Hall: he da MAN.
  8. I agree with jazzbo; this is music I like and Mosaic did well by it.
  9. They have record stores there??
  10. Gotta love Cordwainer Smith! Kudos to NESFA Press for putting out that definitive collection you are reading, Jad. Right now I'm reading The Man Who Shocked the World: The Life and Legacy of Stanley Milgram by Thomas Bass. I'm tempted to say that an authority figure ORDERED me to, but no, it was my idea.
  11. "Other" CD Universe is my Jazz CD site of choice. Why weren't they listed? But I'm also still enamored of brick-and-morter; ah, the rough, bitter pungency of brick and the crumbly crunchiness of morter. Yum.
  12. HANK?
  13. WHAT??!?!? Yer from Michigan and you don't like Springs...... I mean, Seger?!!?? Just kidding, of course. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of The Nuge or Grand Funk Railroad either. Go figure. That just means you have some taste!
  14. This is one of my two or three favorite film noirs, and one of my favorite Michum films of all time, AND one of my favorite films of the forties! ...I like it. Lots. It's about damn time it came out on DVD! I hope they did it right, with a good transfer and all. (Still waiting for "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" to be released.)
  15. My sincere condolences to you and your family.
  16. Finally found some Fanta. One store has 2-liter bottles of it for 99 cents, but no Apple. The Strawberry is good though.
  17. !!!!!!!!! In that case, it is the spawn of Satan.
  18. brownie's right. This label sounds like it's probably just another "Definitive"---I would approach with caution.
  19. Newks Time, RVG, on sale at Tower. Not a bad album.
  20. They look like they wouldn't fit in my CD shelves (too tall), so they're no good to me.
  21. "Nothing is more contagious than GOOD JUDGEMENT." "Anytime you want to dance with me to my Gene Krupa or Buddy Rich records, you're welcome to."
