I've got the Herbie Harper Sextet Mode/VSOP album. I like it. Nothing earthshaking, it won't change your life, just good, entertaining straightforward jazz. In a bop vein.

Sigh. It was NOT a moderator that deleted Chris' posts. He claims that, but he is mistaken. I not only asked my brother about it (who would not lie to me, especially about something so inconsequential) and I checked the moderator logs. He (my brother) did not delete any of Chris' posts. Larry did not do it. Nor MG. Nor myself. The person deleting Chris' posts was Chris. Woah! Kind of like Number One being the Prisoner.

My older son saw the film last night. When I asked him how it was, all he would say was "It was long!" There you have it.

Yes, I remember watching "You Are There"! I was thinking about that yesterday, and tried to describe the show to my son.

There was something undeniably likable about the guy. You felt like you could trust him. And you also felt like he had a brain, that he was a real reporter, not just some dimwit they hired to read the news.

The Green Hornet Theme always sounded like a take-off on "Flight of the Bumble-Bee" to me. Loved it, though. Also, as a kid I loved The Mod Squad show.

And here I was mad at my home town because it's one in-town movie theater went out of business in about 1970... I guess there are worse things.
