  1. Okay, this is pure evil, but I'd pay to see that episode...
  2. Remember, guys; 'lol' was a mystery at one time. Now it's just annoying...
  3. I loved that show, and my parents hated it. Obviously, it was perfect!
  4. The chase is over, time to dump him. You know, I was really upset when the Braves pulled this shit on Aaron, but for some reason I can't get worked up over it with Bonds.
  5. As soon as the pro-Nazi side shows up, we can move it...
  6. Henson. Tarrantino. Together at last.
  7. Huh? I know "vig," but never've heard of PITA(except the bread). 'Splain, por favor. PITA is, as Lon explained on p1, "pain in the arse" (or "ass", west of Ireland). Someone saying "pain in the arse" is trying to be rude to or about someone/thing. Reducing it to a set of initials takes away the rudeness. So it's a euphemism. I don't usually do euphemism. I'm much more likely to call it a fucking shovel. Which is why it didn't immediately occur to me that PITA meant "pain in the arse". See? MG Not really. I don't see how using initials, common as it is on the net, is one thing then another. I mean, WTF?
  8. Same here. Of course, Barb says I'm just easily distracted...
  9. Huh?
  10. Ham, pork, sugar, salt, water, potato starch, and sodium nitrate.
  11. God, I love all the "quotation marks" that articles like this have!
  12. Dim Georgie Alex De Large
  13. Shotaro Kineda Tetsuo Shima Colonel Shikishima Damn, I love that movie...
  14. I haven't been myself for quite a while. But Barb seems to think it's an improvement, so...
  15. Secret Agent Man The Saint James Bond
  16. Appreciated! Yes, it most definitely was! Thanks a million, Chris.
  17. Uh...yeah. Substitute "Krugman" for "Dowd", and I agree with you!
  18. I appreciate the comments guys (and especially Guy! ), as I wasn't sure what to make of his arguments. I have to agree with him that the government is being seriously disingenuous with the inflation rate. Food and fuel prices are volatile, yes, but if the long term trend hasn't been up, then someone's been getting at my wallet while I sleep. However, after that, I wasn't sure.
  19. http://longorshortcapital.com/lame.htm Okay, at least half of you are more knowledgeable about economics than I am; how about some reactions to this?
  20. Better than ferrets in your pants, I suppose.
  21. Boots Randolph Randolph Scott Francis Scott Key
  22. I'll say! There's nothing quite like it. As for the topic of the thread, all I can say is "welcome back to my bookmarks, Times". I can't complain too much, though. It's not like their business end screws up more than the news end...
  23. I'll have to think about this one. Blasting into space is pretty tempting...
  24. Wow....I hope Goodspeak doesn't get confused and start arguing that there's no proof that OJ ever used steroids...
