Pasta, while I didn't see the "making light of casualties" stuff, I agree. The typical thread over there seems to run along the line of... "Mr. Hoffman's shit don't stink." I'm sure he is an excellent engineer, and I'm sure his remastering of the Bay City Rollers catalog is fantastic, but I'll pass...

This one gets a lot of play from me, although I think I tend to reach for it more when I'm missing my rock days than for any other reason. I can't say it's my favorite Metheny LP, but obviously I like it more than some do. Not the one to try if you're attracted by Metheny's Brazilian oriented stuff or the Trio stuff or really, much of anything else by him. But as I say, I like it. Without this and Witchita Falls, I probably wouldn't be where I am musically today. You know, broke and all...

I've heard a couple of cuts on KCSM from the Redman disc that were enough to push it onto my "want list". Not my usual cup of tea, but that's all the more reason for it to be there. Interesting stuff!
