  1. Not me!
  2. I'm glad to see this. Adrian Belew also guested on PT's new release, Deadwing. Seems to be a bit of mutual respect that has formed between the two groups. Porcupine Tree is my favorite contemporary rock group, and I've babbled about them in the Viva Prog Rock thread a bit. They're originally a Steve Wilson solo project, in a psych/prog vein, that evolved into a real group, with Richard Barbieri (former Japan keyboardist) on board as well. Well worth the effort to check them out! Sorry for the hijack, back to the Fripp stuff. Percy Jones and Tunnels is opening some east coast gigs. What does PT sound like?
  3. It seems that Oh! Mr. Fripp is touring his soundscapes again. I'll be checking out the NYC show, at least.

  5. All the best...

  7. Piano and vibes are tuned percussion instruments.
  8. I like lots of things without piano -- but this comment struck me because Jack DeJohnette is actually a good pianist, too! Maybe that's his secret -- even when he's "only" playing the drums, he's still the pianist in the group! I think all the real amazing drummers also played piano.
  9. That accent thing drives me crazy. Always bugged me too. Quite silly...
  10. Not my favorite, but I don't hate it. This is where the PMG found it's direction and started to loose me. I do like Travels and parts of First Circle. I like his solo and collaboration/sideman material better.
  11. True, true. I should get more of his music.
  12. I almost mentioned him, but I've never heard his music.
  13. It's the saki that does the trick...
  14. Keith Jarrett wasn't exactly the sole source of the stream... No, but he was probably the main jazz tributary. How about Paul Horn or Tony Scott?

You can hear this on Wing's Silly Love Songs.
  17. Cool! My parents didn't feel like that.

    Cream

Sure thing! I'm listening to Sunshine of Your Love now. It's a pretty good audience recording, I'm looking forward to the DVD(s).
