  18. Haven't heard that one yet. His later work is hit and miss. Yep...then try the other organ & keyboard music.
  19. Within a few years of writing In C, he abandoned notation and stuck to improvisation for many years. He association with Kronos Qt in the '80s brought him back to notated composition.

  23. JW's rock albums only lasted a few years before he got serious about the blues later when they started the Blue Sky label. I find those albums flawed too, but interesting because I'm such an old fan.

    Yet I always think of him as a jazz guy influenced by classical music. I guess I'm just more interested in his solo albums.
