  1. I wasn’t aware of that either (and I have the Royal Roost box! )
  2. Thanks Gheorghe. She’s coming home today so that is great news.
  3. There used to be a record store with branches in East Hanover and Wayne, NJ that always had the latest releases. When I first became in Jazz it was a godsend; it always had the latest RVGs, Connoisseurs and OJCs. My first listen of Moanin' came from there. I'd buy everything they had. Unfortunately, like many record stores, they didn't last. Can't remember their name but they made a big difference in my Jazz listening.
  4. Bookmarked!
  5. Thank you both. Wednesday is looking good
  6. Thanks man. She was up and walking today. Not a lot but she will do more each day.
  7. You’re probably not the first one who has done this. Over at Hoffman and another non music forum I belong to, you only have a certain amount of time in which to edit or delete a post.
  8. Night Lights did a great program on Willis Conover and the VOA a while ago. A very enjoyable listen. https://indianapublicmedia.org/nightlights/conovers-comin-over-willis-conover-and-jazz-at-the-voice-of-america.php
  9. I’ve watched part of it but haven’t finished it yet. Pretty good so far.
  10. Thanks Hans. I think she will. She’s otherwise in very good shape.
  11. Thank you. Hoping she can come home Wednesday.
  12. Thank you all my friends. She is doing well.
  13. Thank you all for the kind words again. I just talked to the nurses and they say she’s doing well. Yes, I need to get a little rest.
  14. Thank you all for your kind wishes and support. The doctor came out just now. The surgery was a success, thank goodness! She is resting now. I feel I can breathe again.
  15. Thank you all for your best wishes and thoughts. They just took her into surgery.
  16. My wife is having heart surgery today so please have her in your thoughts. I’m sure she and all of us will feel the good vibes and this will help her immeasurably. She’s got the best surgeon in our area — other cardiologists call him ‘Golden Hands’ — but I’m sure your good thoughts will be a big plus. Brad
  17. I used to negotiate supply agreements for pharmaceutical products but did some food agreements too and I’m not sure I agree with the conclusions in this article that’s it’s safe to eat foods with expired dating. The dating is not just “best if used by x date” but also there for safety reasons.
  18. Of course, if I was stuck in a bomb shelter and this was the only food available, I’d open them!
  19. My condolences Soul Station.
  20. For those who may be interested, NYRB Classics is having a winter sale: 50% off on certain titles. https://www.nyrb.com/collections/winter-sale
  21. The interview reference Resonance’s issuing previously unreleased recordings. Has that been discussed previously?
  22. You should throw them out. Food (as well as pharmaceuticals and other household products) have shelf lives or expiration dates and they have them for a reason.
