Cd or lp? -
It took me about a third of the book to appreciate it. Then I couldn’t put it down.

Unusual book about an Israeli harpist sho returns home to see if her mother will move into a retirement home and to pass the time she becomes an extra in movies and tv. However, is she an extra in her family’s life, an extra to her ex-husband or even an extra to the symphony in the Netherlands she plays for.

I believe the Mets GM (who had no experience in baseball other than as an agent) ordered pitching changes this year. It caused a controversy when it was disclosed he was ordering these moves.
-
Sounds like the Mets but it also describes the current theory of management in baseball.

He’s becoming the Adam Gase of baseball.

Has any title ever been vacated in pro sports because of cheating? Not that I can recall (not that I’ve carried out any exhaustive research). It seems evident that the 1951 Giants had an elaborate sign stealing system that may have helped them win the pennant although Bobby Thomson claimed he never knew what was coming in the climactic at bat but the Giants never suffered any repercussions when their system was disclosed years later.

The Studebaker paid off today. My record dealer found me a copy of Spencer Davis’ Greatest Hits but he hadn’t had a chance to grade it. I popped it on today and sounded terrible: lot of pops, etc. Ran it through the washer and they were all gone!

Yes, I read that, too. Shame it’s become public but I guess with personalities it’s inevitable.

Allegedly, he cut his wife out of his will days before he died because he said she abandoned him.

What's the best current way of uploading pictures?

Isn’t stolen bandwidth or hosting a photo cost money? Not being facetious, just asking as I don’t know the answer. -
Yes, that’s probably true. However, there is so many other wonderful things to see there that if that’s all you focus on, yes, you may be disappointed. The Delacroix are something special.

It seems as there is a certain size limitation per day or every few days, which then resets. I principally post photos in the what are you listening to sections and the photos used by Wikipedia and Amazon seem to work almost all of the time. Photos from other sites like Discogs always have to be resized. -
I’ve been to the Louvre about half a dozen times (although not since 2007) and I saw the Mona Lisa the first or second time I was there. Tourism seems out of control the last few years in Europe with Venice, Barcelona and other cities being ruined by tourists. As the following article makes clear the tourists are out of control when it comes to the Mona Lisa and he suggests that it be moved or removed from the Louvre. “Leonardo’s painting is a security hazard, an educational obstacle and not even a satisfying bucket-list item. It’s time the Louvre moved it out of the way.” It’s Time to Take Down the Mona Lisa
