Yesterday would have been Paul Butterfield’s birthday. On the anniversary of his birth, JazzTimes republished the following article:
Paul Butterfield: Origins of an Originator
It wasn’t clear from your original post what your point was. At any rate, there are other photos in the Mosaic book that look like it’s just from the trio session. If you have her book, perhaps it shows the trio sessions.
Most of the Mosaic features Barney Kessel and Ray Brown. The portion I listened to on disc 1 was excellent, in my opinion.
From the Mosaic YouTube site:
The rotation is ok but they need to improve the bullpen and obtain a CF to compete. The East will be competitive. With Rendon gone I don’t see the Nats repeating.
I think this is the company that does warehousing and distribution for Rhino, which is owned by Warner Music Group. Over on the Hoffman there have been a lot of complaints about shipping Grateful Dead stock. I don’t know if this company was handling distribution when the Woodstock sets were distributed as there were a lot of complaints about that process as well.
Here’s a review of the Mosaic in All About Jazz that some may wish to read.
