  1. Go for the cynical side.
  2. I was offered that choice on a couple of CDs I purchased. I think it was $25, which was more than I wanted to pay.
  3. And here I thought the Mets were bad! MLB Fielding Statistics
  4. I understand the annoyance with receiving a dispatch notice and then a cancellation. However, I’m not sure I understand the annoyance with not receiving an apology from a big company as they’re meaningless. It’s not as if they’re heartfelt; they’re just pro forma. In addition, CDs shouldn’t have been out in commerce anyway so those who received them should consider themselves fortunate. One thing to remember about Japanese listings is that there are still problems with the Japanese PO sending packages to the US so it may be awhile before you receive it.
  5. No longer available on Amazon UK and eBay quantities are almost exhausted.
  6. Four tracks and looks like this: The going rate seems to be about $20-22 although I can do a little better than that. If interested, please send me a pm.
  7. Only the Mets David, only the Mets!
  8. You can’t make this shit up. Céspedes doesn’t show up for the game today, probably slept in or whatever, and then he and his 160 average decide to opt out. If he was hitting 300 I’m positive he wouldn’t be opting out. Goodbye and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
  9. The way the Mets are playing, it can’t end soon enough.
  10. Here’s the original article, which I should have posted first, In turbulent times, culling my book collection gave me the illusion of control. Then the dilemmas began multiplying
  11. Interesting article in the Washington Post: Readers have many opinions on how to cull your book collection — and also why you never should
  12. Caught the last part of The Hot Rock today. I’ve seen it several times. What a cast: Mostel, Redford, George Segal, Ron Leibman, Moses Gunn. Terrific
  13. I have one. Did you have a figure in mind?
  14. I’m not desperate to have it immediately. Hopefully, it all gets straightened out.
  15. The same seller is selling it on Amazon UK and eBay.
  16. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
  17. Manfred has indicated the season will continue: “no reason to quit now.” Rob Manfred says 2020 MLB season will move forward despite COVID-19 issues
  18. There was a story in the Times today about a school in Indiana that reopened and on the first day they discovered that they had an infected student. Everyone he came into contact with has to be quarantined. A School Reopens, and the Coronavirus Creeps In
  19. Sorry to hear that about Phil. There were many a day where I turned Phil on in the car as I left for work and didn’t hear a song by the time I arrived at work (a 30 minute drive).
  20. It could happen as soon as Monday. You can put in place good rules but if the players aren’t going to follow them, there’s little you can do. I've enjoyed the games I’ve seen and if the sport is shut down, it was better than nothing. Unfortunately, there’s no guarantee about next year either. If baseball couldn’t do it, football won’t be able to either.
  21. I’m starting to think you were right. Due to the Marlins’ players stupidity they may now have affected the Phillies. You could delete the Marlins and determine qualification for the wild cards (or whatever it’s called now) by winning percentage.
  22. When NJ was going through the pandemic, I waited two months for a package going from NY to NJ, a trip of about 50 miles. With Florida now in the throes, it’s just going to take time.
