  1. RIP. Really appreciate his soundtrack work, especially Dirty Harry's Magnum Force; total badass.
  2. lols, never watched the show. 👍 I'll report back how the show is.
  3. I have it in a box (still unpacking into our new home) but think it was a BYG two-fer once, Homage/Even Break. I know the latter is there, can't remember if Homage is on it. Great stuff indeed.
  4. Is it? I dunno. Is that what Drew Carey looks like today?
  5. Upgrade, Upgrade. Japan Budget CD, liking the sound a lot.
  6. Yes! Found this used at a rock record store of all places! Abdul Wadud is hautingly beautiful on this record.
  7. I know there are some Ohioans here, even nearby. WE ARE GOING! https://www.playhousesquare.org/events/detail/jazzfest-25-sun-ra-arkestra
  8. LOLs, yeah don't think think any of that is happening, let alone Pilot nor some rich producer living it up in the Bahamas.
  9. Night cap. Thank you Felser!
  10. Okay, tangent time, but I don't know about all of you, but I'm really sick how these pharmaceutical conglomerates are inserting their catch words into classic songs into their commercials. Like how Ozempic changed Pilot's Oh it's Magic: Too... Too: 😐 Like, stop it!
  11. Yeah, really enjoy the Campbell (got to him live at CMA with Henry Grimes back in 2006) the Parkers and Shipps are all extremely nice on these thirsty ears.
  12. On the same set being offered here? One of the greatest alt/art rock/pre-grunge/college rock bands of the late 60's of all-time.
  13. Just got back from Chicago a few days ago. What part? We were largely on the north side. About Step Lightly. Never heard it, you like it? Now, an awesome find at Reckless Records on Milwaukee Ave North: The 1995 connoisseur with the extra tracks.
  14. Yes. The Columbia/Legacy edition. It's packed and I can't recall if its Don Byas or Bud Powell on the front of the CD booklet.
  15. Have the Don Byas. Just got home: spinning the Bud Powell Columbia on Thelonious I picked up for $5 never to be see again in a weird-ass record store outside Hyland Park: wow! Completes the Cannonball's Columbia producing jazz he was doin' there for a short while.
  16. A lot of those song titles involving the word sun...😎
  17. 👍Picked up the RCA long time ago for cheap (couldn't believe it, same artwork!). Glad I did, the BNs, Impulses, and Columbias are favorites!
  18. You get it! I share an office space with my wife at home, and she LOVES sunlight, which shines on my cd shelves and book cases everyday, which I know the sun is having its way with my stuff! She's a chemistry professor and researcher, yet she doesn't know the damage direct sunlight inflicts on colors that get burned out of existence?! If I had my druthers, I'd hire a team to take out that window, and replace it with a wall, so I can control the lighting.
  19. Wisconsin haul. Milwaukee was kinda' sweet having a kick-ass record store next to Half Price: Volte Records: Trane. Blue Trane, but the mono version, BN Japan ($4 okay) Vince Guaraldi. Latin Side of Vince Guaraldi. Fantasy OJC (grew up listening to this stuff!, absolutely love it) Kenny Dorham. Jazz Contemporary. Sealed, Time Japan Eric Dolphy. Conversations. Sealed, FS/Douglass. Fills out Iron Man in the same issue series I only had half of. Half Price next door: Horace Silver. To frame the sleeve on the wall. BN Japan reprint (not a tone poem, but selling at $20). Looks slick, no wring ware, record is so-so, but still!
  20. Trying a lot of microbrews here in Chicago and Milwaukee. Like this one from Chicago:
  21. More !!!!! Let's just go bonkers nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!
