  1. Holy Ghost

    Steve Lacy

You guys are way ahead of me. I maybe have a dozen Lacy cd's I've picked up all over the place, but I am waaay back here: Have hardly got to it all.
  2. Really like the Wayne Vee Jays, this is the only one I don't have. Yep. Think everything Mingus is a good one. Such an enjoyable record. Great stuff.
  3. The mug shots, are....uncomfortable.... Playing now, my own double-feature: and Thank you, John!
  4. Thanks, didn't know there was more material! Wow, thanks for hipping me to this, I'm getting it, liked Dead Letter Office already.
  5. Can't say I've ever seen Chronic Town. Released around the same time as Mur Mur?
  6. Submitted in the wrong thread, see listening to now...
  7. Agree on your critique on Epristrophy; however, it is the only RD I have from the Muse catalogue, so I cannot compare Davis' other releases on the label. This gem was also mentioned, found it for a $1 Outstanding!
  8. Yep. Got a copy close to that, at least it aint this BS cover:
  9. WOW!! Didn't know about these records!!!
  10. Yeah, couldn't believe it, only $8 used, no 32 Jazz reissue. CD issued has the original sleeve art you see above, music is terrific, my favorite Shaw, even passes Rosewood by a smidge, which is a fantastic record! Understudy of the 70's, he deserves so much more credit. Fantastic writer and musician! Not a Muse, but we are talking about Woody Shaw, this has to be mentioned
  11. Wow. She's pretty!
  12. That's what the Witch Doctor told me. Now, that's the Jazzzzz Messengers I know.
  13. I was asked if I could drive Sam from Cleveland Int'l Airport to Cleveland for a show back in 2006 I think? which I would've done for free, but I was at a conference, so I couldn't do it. To talk to that dude in my car for an hour or so? WOW!
  14. Document is a masterpiece. Even the scraps are brilliant. Their cover of Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic is amazing! I think the same thing about The Replacement's Pleased to Meet Me, the lost Twin Tone album.
  15. So glad I grabbed this CD when it was out there:
  16. Yeah!!! IMO, this label to me is what Blue Note was to jazz. REM, Fine Young Cannibals. Brilliant independent label. Oh Yeah!
  17. LOVE R.E.M. Always thought Green was a lost IRS album
  18. Glad to see some love for The Clash. Great Record! Broke out this deluxe set for Ozzy. My favorite Sabbath record.
  19. Glad to see someone else loves The Clash. Great Record! This is pretty, like wow!
  20. Yeah, still one of my favorite Sabbath records.
  21. Tom, You're in for a treat, wait until Sabotage makes it in to your mailbox. Personally, these are the best Sabbath records. Enjoy! (William) HG
