  1. Nothing's wrong. This how a LSP sounds to Trane a minute he records it.
  2. Still blown away by this performance, no way, a rehearsal of a Love Supreme. Glad its out there. I have it and I like it. Anything from Ornette, pertaining to Atlantic, historically important.
  3. Judging by the picture, not on CD? Nevertheless, never seen this one, and I like later Simmons, especially the sessions he recorded for Quest.
  4. Shared sentiments. RIP Mate.
  5. So happy to nab this one in the West Coast series. Now: Unlikely of places to find this, picked this one up at a largely rock-orientated store. Great stuff, that Atlantic stuff is. Yep and Yep. Wickedly cool. So happy to have landed a Beth/Rhino copy. Love this stuff! Because I was binging on McLean at the time this RVG came out, I landed on this beauty.
  6. Have the same concern/let-down. Would really like to see the signature sleeve art reproduced and to have it presented as a total physical product. Only two I have:
  7. I own the Sabotage box set from this series, and can attest to the high production details-outstanding! I don't own this one, and would jump on it, but $105 is still a little outside my budget. I hope it finds a happy home!
  8. You'd think Miles would've scribed this on "Tones for Joan's Bones" or something, instead of his own reissue with no Chick on it. Give the kid some credit, for fuck's sake.
  9. Alas, oversight, means I have more JJ to listen to!! Now: I'm with you, solid as an ice cube. Liked the days off, but just not fun anymore! Dave Holland though, yeah, great stuff. One of my favorite BN Byrd's, but the sleeve sells it, one of the coolest!
  10. I know, off by one year, but would like to see a proper reissue of this record:
  11. Whatever the case, I'd be cool to hear it all!
  12. 😃 Two years, roughly 59-61?. One official Columbia cd release, otherwise on the mosaic.
  13. So happy to grab the RVG. Wow, reviewing, great stuff you guys are listening too. Now: Grant Green. I want to hold your hand. (BN Special Box Set)...only way I could get this album in amicable means.
  14. I've always liked J.J.'s run at Columbia. Great stuff. Super liked growing up listening to mid 70's-early 80's jazz on the radio, one of my favorites.
  15. Yeah, good luck! Forget the nightlight, this dude will keep you up all night. Easy chair McLean is rare, but if you want to try to take it easy with Jackie, Swing, Swang, Swingin' may be his sleepiest, but I'm still on edge; I still want to know every note he plays! With that, have a good night, my friend. Now: The Fabulous Fats Navarro, Vol. 1. Japanese Mini LP RVG. Both volumes, Japanese Mini RVG's
  16. Nod to Slugs by said author. Side note. If you look in the upper right-hand corner, Noam Chomsky is included in this issue too, one of the most fascinating and bazaar guest lecturers' I ever heard at my college in my undergrad years.
  17. And if I'm reading correctly, a CD issue too? Yeeeeah!!! You should be exceptionally pleased, Mr. Thornton.
  18. That's how I have them. Transition sleeve art work is nice to see though.
