  1. Wm Parker's work from the 70's with Cecil right up to now. Wow. A page he deserves. AUM, FMP, Die Like A Dog Quartet, In Order to Survive, and collaborations with Shipp, Brotz, Kahn Jamal, and David S. Ware, etc. Incredible talent, charismatic, and he deserves a page here. (I searched, there is no such page here, right?) So, cheers to William Parker😊
  2. And you don't have this record sleeve in an album cover frame hanging on your man-cave wall!!! Unknown players to me, but when ESP started their major reissue campaign, I scooped this up. Dig the late-60's freak-out vibe, like it for that reason alone. I mean the playlist says it all: Freeken, Happy Pretty, and Sweet. Time warp: Feel like I'm watching, "Dude, where's my car?" A very missed soul: Renunciation
  3. Have some of those, the Good and Evil sessions, packed in a box along with the Shipp collaborations. Think even Evan Parker is on some of those sides. Otherwise, I'm in a trance. Every time I see the "hey, hey, hey" commercial, I want a pair of New Balance shoes and revisit playing basketball again (shattered a hip in high school, but hey, hey, hey, that was nearly 40 years ago)😁
  4. This era of Duke, when he was exploring new ground, playing with younger players, excites me. Great record. Read somewhere that this was even Jerry Garcia's favorite record (he may even be on it, playing percussion?) Got to hang with Grace Slick's daughter, decades later, at all places a concert in Sunrise, Florida at a Starship concert back in 1986.
  5. Giant. Privileged to see him live in 2001, just three rows away.
  6. Hutch Fan, Thank you for providing that perspective to me, didn't see it all this time, but totally see it now how the Hemispheres album cover makes total sense from that perspective, wow! Brain (haha) blown 🤯. Also, even deeper is your view on All the World's a Stage, (Vitruvian man) facing (not inscribed) a star (instead a square) and a circle, great insight. This has got to be Neil Peart's intriguing conception through and through. Thank you again, makes RUSH just that more deeper for me. HG
  7. Mastered Bach, admired him when I played, fascinating human being. Playing now:
  8. Picasso at CMA through April. We're members, so we went twice, mostly pencil, the feature of the show. Although they peppered other masterpieces in there that CMA already acquisitioned, it really was a great showcase. Great space, great exhibition. I'd upload some pictures I took, but I have to format them to post here.
  9. Whatcha talkin' bout Willis. Conrad Bain was awesome. Loved Differ'ent Strokes.
  10. No idea. Pharoah has a son? Who knew?
  11. Who was in control of wardrobe? Oof.
  12. Post Joy Division, New Order was bad ass, Peter Hook is amazing, keeping this reconfiguration astoundingly hip throughout the 80's & 90's. Peter Hook was a badass himself. Love this dude. This record exemplifies exactly what I mean:
  13. Still kind of weird listening to "In 'n' Out" without Kenny Dorham.
  14. I have been known to keep my composure. Oh wait, wrong classroom, this is not psychology 101?🤷‍♂️
  15. Lols, I had to look up what Seconals were 😁
  16. Don't question that, Gil Evans is a modern day master and very much respect Helen Merrell. Just didn't dig the record. What's the packaging look like inside? Original artwork like the outside box indicates?
