THANKS U GUYS, I PICKED UP THE KIRK. man this is the lp w/ SERENADE TO A COOKOO! i was wrong, limelight has some cool stuff. but man i thought it was fluff over substance with them, i mean all that artwork. oh but the gerry mulligan limelights, man those are still horrible. omg. -
look you guys, i need you to back me up on this- this is tarnishing the mobes legacy. it is this fans belief that this mobley discg. listing is --INCORRECT--. check it out, ive come across this situation before. like hey, did you hear hank did this or that, and it checks out. but THIS time.....EVEN with an actual recording, i have to say no. i have a question--- what is the musical snippet people are going on, that this is hank? what are they basing this on. i would LOVE to know what their source was on that

i talk w/ sprits was the one. theyre two of his best? omg -
can anyone recommend this one, or is really watered down. thats what limelight does, it waters down talent. i LOVE pop jazz lps, dont get me wrong, but limelight like, just did it wrong. did they use various producers, or the same one always? i have never been happy, and always disapointed by limelight sessions

omg Whatever happened to that project, why was it shelved? It looks fascinating on paper, to say the very least!

**if you have CD players in cars: you have awesome digital sound, great for bumpin the nightfly while drving around at night--- whats safer--- THAT, or lisening to poor quality HQ on a digital player? guys im serious about this. its aboustely a factor. HQ sound is safer to utilize in a motor v. than poor quality sound. now before someone tries to be cheeky ill just say it myself: you might say, "bumpin the nightfly while driving around at night" is a lot less safe than any bad quality HQ. well thats just what i do, i have a spare 1st pressing of the nightfly (WB 1982) in the car at all times! ooo yea! does anyone want to guess the other CD i have in the car at all times? (hint: Steely-related) -

(early?) 70s era United Artists pressing, classic style label, mono. it sounds fantastic. net savings over original: 1230 dollars. *my price: 18 i kind of regret passing on the hank quintet one i saw now. i mean they sound fine. its a 1000% analog transfer. the only thing is, did they really pull out the master for these. who knows. maybe the master was copied, then it was cut. either way, the actual master *had* to be consulted in this. this was the 1st reissue of the album, right? theres no pre U/A issues of this on Libery were there? -
Album Covers With Sexy Mouths (And/Or Lips)
chewy-chew-chew-bean-benitez replied to JSngry's topic in Miscellaneous Music
one of the greatest albums of all time -
I am completely broken up about this. This mans music transcends it all. There is nothing like it in all of pop music, or all music, or all artistic expression, in general. ODESSA (Atco Records, 1969) is the Bee Gee's masterpiece.
