Downtown Music Gallery has a reissue LP of People In Sorrow by PlayItLoud Records or something like that. Maybe a dumb question but does anyone know if this is a good reproduction? I never got this LP but hate to pay $27 for something that sounds poor.

At 76 years old I am finding all your comments in this thread very interesting. We are considering downsizing to an apartment in a retirement kind of community. Even though we've only lived in our home for 12 years, the thought of "purging" not just my music collection but every thing else is really daunting. It is also kind of sad deciding what to do with old family items that nobody wants.

My music listening space has become a corner of the spare bedroom, listening to digital files thru earbuds. So I am totally out of the stereo game but I do enjoy these kind of threads for the "eye candy" value. I went to the Pure Audio website for fun and I think your speakers look great, Stefan. I have a CDr copy of Anthony Braxton Quartet (Santa Cruz) 1993 that I bought from Gerry Hemingway when the album was OOP. US addresses only though.

Please allow a silly question. Do artists/labels get ok compensation from the sale of Bandcamp downloads? I don't buy much for CDs or LPs anymore. I am closer to the end of my travels and am past the accumulation stage of life if that makes any sense. That said there is music I would still like to hear and want you all to make a living.

"Under The Double Moon" by Anthony Davis and Jay Hoggard is a really good album. Do not know if it ever came out on CD and may be OOP but worth looking into. Spotify maybe. A couple thing a little different are Mattias Stahl/Sten Sandell - "Gran Musik (Clean Feed) and Futari (which is Taiko Saito - marimba and vibes and Satoko Fujii - piano) "underground" (Libra). This instrumentation is a favorite for me too.

Just finished "The Night Watchman". Going to the library to find some more Erdrich.

I would add some albums by the wonderful pianist (in my opinion) Steve Cohn to the mix; " Ittekimasu" with Therman Barker and Fred Hopkins, "Arts & Crafts" and "Shapes Sounds Theories".

I very much enjoyed following your blog this whole year. Thank you. Even though the 1970s was when I first started really listening to jazz, there were quite a number of things I didn't know. The first two jazz LPs I ever bought were included, "Fanfare for the Warriors" and "Crystal Silence".

Very much agree with your recommendation on "Stengam". I had looked for another solo album called " 7 CC IN IO" for a long time finally broke down and made an international purchase from Discogs in July. As it turned out it was shipped to me 2 days before Mr. Fuhler was called home. It is pretty darn good as well but hard to find.

Thanks for the suggestions. The last two I honesty had not thought about. I reached out to Ms. Block, will see if she responds. I've listened to the album on bandcamp and love it. The art work is pretty cool also, which is why I would kind of like to find a copy of the CD.
