  3. Next on the agenda, here's the greatest event to piss off managers from the biggest clubs in Europe the African Cup of nation. Seriously, it's a very fine tournament that is well worth watching, although the tv broadcast are still a little sketchy, when i'll know more i'll tell you. Meanwhile here's the official website to know more about it. http://www.ghanacan2008.com/fixtures.php
  4. My gosh, a Jarrett thread that lasted at least an hour without any Jarrett bashing yet. What is this board coming to ? Seriously, i have not picked it up this one, enjoy Jarrett, hope to find it soon

  7. So nobody has seen the movie ?
  8. To be fair, to compare teams from different leagues that almost never play against each other is a near impossible task. I presume it's done with logarythms and league coefficients and all those tools, so you have to take it with the proverbial grain of salt. I'm sure Seville fans will be happy to celebrate that their team is number 1 somewhere. Meanwhile in the real world they'll be fighting for a UEFA cup spot for the next European season unless they get a miraculous run in the Champions League
  9. Probably at the same place, they get the FIFA rankings.

  12. NE GB Congrats to Noj, too bad that after being a dog fight throughout the season the contest ended in such an anticlimatic fashion.
  13. Well it was a fun week, all games were competitive and had their share of thrills. Pats-Packers seems the way it will end up in the big final.
  14. I talked about it in the movie thread, i will write it here Saw the above mentionned movie, very fine movie, beautiful storytelling with a lot of twists, especially if you have not read the novel. The movie starts very slowly with about no dialogue whatsoever in the first 30 minutes or so, a little bit à la Once upon a time in the west. Be patient you will be rewarded as the story unfolds. Daniel Day Lewis has a field day as a character that is half business man half psychopath, so does the actor who plays the preacher character who is also involved in the most memorable scenes.
  15. In a relatively somewhat similar register, you might get a kick on these girls
  16. Where's the payoff for the scammer ?
  17. Pretty tough not to cheer for the Packers, was the Favre pass as he was stumbling down something else ?
  18. Bought and currently listening The rise and fall of Robby Woo, nice voices but a little longuish and repetitive, about 10 minutes too long. In the lounge department i prefer Pink Martini
  19. Little Richard Little Beaver Little Miss Sunshine
  20. I recommend the other set of this fine series.
  21. Gary Unger (former NHL ironman) Lamon Brewster Randall Cunningham
  22. With the closure of Soccertv.com the only place remaining to check out what's happening tv wise in the world of the beatiful gaame for those living in North America is this site. http://www.livesoccertv.com/fixtures.php Although i find it less reliable than the previous site.
  23. After a huge essay on Joyce more than one thousand pages went for something lighter in every sense of the word.
  24. Starsky and Hutch Laverne and Shirley The Odd couple
