  1. A bit cheap, on the positive side, for those who are running out of room, they won't take much place.
  2. A UPS delivery guy went to my mother, he told her that nobody answered at the place he was supposed to deliver it,so he left her the package. The package was computer equipment worth more than 200 $
  3. Had a few bad stories with UPS, my latest was commented in the NewYorker thread,
  4. Problems are back, emoticons are shut off, can't insert any any images while using IE. I fiddled with the compatibility to no avail.
  5. Finished the first part, one thing for sure won't watch the movie, compared to the scenes described in the book Antichrist is a Walt Disney story. The book is nontheless fascinating although it feels like a porn movie, dirty and explicite scenes followed by philosophical comments and so on. Will read the second part eventually but need to read something different, to woipe away the memory of blood and other body fluids. Have startd reading this one. What's going on I can't post pictures anymore ??? Anyway Common Ground by Anthony Lukas If this is as fascinating as Big Trouble by the same author, I'll be for a treat.
  6. Went with Amazon France, it was around 90 Euros shipping included.
  7. 23 cds for about 130 Canadian bucks, thanks. Would love to put emoticons but they don't seem available.
  8. Pilc is also part of a fine quartet led by Lew Soloff, would love to this formation in action. He's quite versatile he did a great job backing Elizabeth Kontamonou a few years ago.
  9. Attended last a fine doubleheader of music in two different venues for starters a Quartet led by sax player André Leroux involving pianist François Bourassa and bassist Fraser Hollins with guest Ari Hoenig and they played strong and hard ! Ended the night with alto Samuel Blais leading a trio with fine drummer Robbie Kuster and Larry Grenadier. For a band that has not played a lot together they looked quite tight. I knew mostly Grenadier as a sideman with Mehldau it was very interesting to see and har him in another context. Considering that prior to the Leroux there was a band of young musicians playing for a competition, it's almost 4 hours of libve music I heard last night, life can be good sometimes
  10. Long Dong Silver Long John Silver Alicia Silverstone Quite a threesome
  11. Rob Deer Jack Cust Pete Incaviglia
  12. The dumbass of the day goes to the UPS guy who delivered the package in my mailbox, as Chuck mentionned the content is rather large and my mailbox is about 4 inches deep. So the delivery guy let the box inside the mailbox, crashing the letters already inside it and letting the box visible to about everyone in the street. Fortunately it was still there when I arrived after work but still...
  13. Saw a quite enjoyable piano duo involving François Bourassa and Jean-Michel Pilc, it was recorded by the CBC and should be aired during the summer, so for those keeping score you might find it in some form on the web at some point.
  14. Being a Vert fan will cheer for les Girondins as well. Arsenal-Barça should be fun to watch
  15. Brownie and Raymond Fol MG and so many African musician, can't name them all
  16. Not a bad deal both sets for 36 $ taxes included.
  17. Any love for the Quincy set ? Thinking of getting the Hampton and the Berry but the way shipping works, it only make sense for those outside of the US to make a big order. So I would need to buy another set .
  18. Gotta say Soundway is pretty fast on the delivery, ordered my music the 12th and received it today. Looking for to play them.
  19. Who would have guessed that the quarters would involve as many French sides as any of the other championships could deliver. Bravo Bordeaux. Once that said, barring they get drawn together, feel that MU and Barça are on a collision course for the ultimate prize.
  20. Watched the Pacquiao-Clottey PPV All i can say is Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang ,bang, bang , bang, bang, bang ,bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. Those who saw the main event will get it
  21. The change of hour has screwed me up big time. Good thing I don't travel.
  22. Saw drummer Matt Wilson featured in a Joel Miller led quartet with reliable and solid Fraser Hollins and John Roney. We had a thread about jazz performers who offered a some showmanship on stage, you can add Matt Wilson to the list of guys who enjoyed themselves on stage.
  23. Damn if i knew all this was available on regular tv i would have not bought on line a bunch of Marc Dorcels.
