  13. In french we have a word for it, it's called réalisme. IF Inter stance against Barça was a bit on the outrageous side , can't say the same for this game, in terms of scoring chances both teams had the number of scoring chances. Was it entertaining, not exactly but it was a watchable game that put in light a team that works effectively as a collective.
  14. Wow...they're both still alive? In Vasquez case, barely...
  15. What makes the Frisell so tasty is the fact that they are offered in the lossless format instead of the freakin mp3 .
  16. Just added it up on your recommendation. Just back from the bar seeing a fine boxing doubleheader Mares-Perez and Vasquez-Marquez IV
  17. After a rather unspectacular first half, the second half of the Champions League final has given us a few pleasing moments for the eyes. Milito served a nice cup of coffee to Van Buyten for the second goal.
  18. Mr T WH Fields BJ Surhoff (When I was kid I used to find cool his first name, liked the idea of being known by two letters but nowadays being less innocent, can't help but being disturbed by the choices of letters and what the acronym can mean)
  19. Sam Suffit Jean Arrache Pat Hibulaire
  20. Saw Kurt Eiling in a church tonight, nothing mindblowing but a well executed show.
  21. It's summertime and the whole music festival business is about to start. On the negative side the off-festival which featured gigs of local artist and some out-of town players was moved away from the usual late june spot. Reason being is the the big festival starts early around june the 25th. Don't know what will happen to the outside venue as the streets where it is taking places look like Beyrouth after a bombing. Other casualty from this early date is the Suoni which used to cover the whole month of june has been shortened up a bit. Still a lot of interesting music from both festivals this year. Although if there is some criticism to give to the Suoni is that they now seem to rehash the same musicians from the other years, but that's a minor negative. Now let's see what's in the schedule among the most jazz related shows of the Suoni. The 10th offers us the come back of one of my favourite current rhythm section with William Parker and Hamid Drake with sax player Kidd Jordan. The next show noteworthy is the Mathew Shipp trio his sidemen are Whit Dickey and Mike Bisio that is taking place the 15th. Next day is the Vandermark 5 On the 19th Evan Parker is in the house leading a quartet with Gerd Dudek, Axel Dörner, & Christof Thewes The following day we have the Globe Unity Orchestra The marathon keeps on going with a third show in three days this time the priincipals are Alexander von Schlippenbach with Rudi Mahall & Paul Lytton Finally the Suoni ends on a bang two days later the 23rd with Dutchmen Eric Boeren Quartet with Han Bennink, Michael Moore, & Wilbert de Joode http://www.casadelpo...ontents/node/76 Will do later on a rundown of the regular festival, stay tuned
  22. Finishing the Quincy Jones acquired from the latest Mosaic sale, entertainment wise it rates an A.
