  1. I guess what I'm really wondering here is whether there is an appreciable difference between the Blu-ray and the SACD release. Have you heard both? What is your impression if so? I'm certainly not above buying yet another version of this album since I still consider it my favorite Rock album of all time.
  2. Is that the 2009 James Guthrie mix at 96K/24 bit?
  3. Just listened to Wish You Were Here on Blu-ray the other night with my son. First time he'd heard it, and really liked it.
  4. Yeah, if only I could carelessly laugh at people suffering. I'd be the life of the party then!
  5. Ah, so anything you deem not to be a bonafide brain injury can be treated by simply introducing the false sufferer to those you deem to have legitimate brain injuries. NICE! So what did you appreciate concerning Ms. Rowe's condition when you examined her? Is she just trying to be cute?
  6. So what? I'm not concerned with what the article focused on. My concern is with the anxiety and depression. Neither of which is to be messed with, and often lead to very bad results. If you find that giggle-worthy, have at it. But others are right to call you out for it.
  7. Yep. It's rather obvious there are no debilitating or irreversible symptoms involved.
  8. The Standards Trio material is better, IMO, but the free albums are very enjoyable.
  9. Kind of a sad story, though. I feel bad for the poor gal.
  10. I completely agree with CJ, etherbored. It's a must own, IMO.
  11. Will you be disappointed if there isn't?
  12. Yeah, I guess that might be why I never heard a huge difference there. At least playing with Keith, anyway. BTW, nice trivia aside: I'm not sure if Cookie Coogan is a member here, she was on JC, but she was actaully at the Deerhead date. Kinda cool having "one of our own" being there.
  13. Exactly. It's like they suck you into their own collective trance. Transcendent. Outside of the opening number from Koln, it's my favorite Jarrett tune. Hmmmm...and perhaps the opening number from Vienna....
  14. You Don't Know What Love Is, baby!!! Sounds like you're digging it, though. Welcome to the Dark Side.
  15. Ah, Always Let Me Go. I had meant to pick that one up for years and years, but never did. Then I finally picked it up late last year. It did not disappoint.
  16. Polite enough to not catch a cold, even!
  17. Good call, etherbored.
  18. Is that a John Cage composition?
  19. Ah. Well, I don't buy that at all, but whatever.
  20. How does one "cough out of restlessness"?
  21. Compressed air is obviously your friend.
  22. Another convert!
  23. He is one odd cat. I forget when and where the enforced group cough took place. Dude takes the term diva to previous unknown heights.
