  1. I received my confirmation code and I bought one....even though I reserved 1 set, the site was allowing me to buy as many as I wanted. Knowing that my credit card won't be charged until it ships allows me to save the money over time. Now I know where my money for umpiring girls softball will be spent!
  2. This is becoming a big mess.....
  3. Yeah- big announcement then it crashed....that's not good. I haven't had any issues with them. This will be a lifetime of listening for me....hope I live a LONG time!!
  4. I reserved mine- received a comfirmatory email from them.
  5. Used to go there alot when I lived in Lawrenceville NJ...that was 18 years ago. Is Chuck's Spring Street Cafe still there?? They sold buffalo wings that were my all-time favorite.
  6. I'd like to buy this.
  7. Thank you very much- again!! Being 50 isn't bad at all!!
  8. I have a very dim view of the steroid era- and baseball is now reverting back to what I perceive is "normal"...runs are down, HRs are down, pitching performances are better. I've reconnected with baseball by umpiring youth baseball and softball games- to me it's enjoyable and I can be a role model for the kids. We also attend Richmond Flying Squirrels games (AA Eastern League). I'd rather watch minor league baseball rather than MLB.
  9. Try to plan for it- become a kid again!
  10. I went in 1990 with friends...in february so there wasn't alot of people....and the hall with the busts was closed. Even with that- I went 2 days- because I'm a baseball fanatic....it was awesome...I looked at EVERY exhibit.....we stayed in Oneonta- which is a college town- so restauants and bars were cheap- as was the hotel. Easy drive into Cooperstown. When I do it again, I'll want to stay in a B&B in Cooperstown and also go during baseball season- see some minor league games...I believe Oneonta is low A ball (NY-Penn league) so they start their season mid-late June. There's also youth baseball tournaments happening over the summer so I wouild try to avoid them so you miss the kids- lots of running/yelling going on....my two nephews played in those tournaments and it was "intense" with the kids. Anyways- my thoughts.
  11. she’ll enjoy the honey and Candle! but i dON’t thiNk you serIouSly meAn that i woulD knowIngly Cheat by using someone else’s football Knowledge??!! I think you’re just jealous! You and your bride can have fun with honey and a candle.......
  12. Aggie- congratulations!! We all had our chances to catch you- nice win! As promised- you will be receiving a jar of Virginia honey from my honeybee hives at Kelly's Honey Farm. PM me a mailing address- either here or on FB.
  13. That guy's still around?? I always thought his name was Carlson Tucker.
  14. I collect rotary telephones- kinda slowed down- since we no longer have a landline- found an Automatic Electric monophone wall telephone- chromed version for a good price cleaned up real well. Looking to downsize my collection in the next month.
  15. You have a point there......they are amazing beers.
  16. Just 2 days- I like saving my vacation days for spring/summer/fall events.
  17. I'm guessing this ranks each country's macrobrews, and since American macrobrews are probably the most widely distributed, the result is not particularly surprising. I'll take Dogfish 90 minute IPA over almost every foreign beer I've ever tasted. Guy I enjoy the craft beers, microbrews- whatever you want to call it....the only non-US beer I drink is Guinness. Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA is probably my favorite as well! And nothing beats a Bud Light Lime after cutting my grass for 5 hours or working my honeybee hives on a hot day.
  18. Sounds like a Proustian madeleine moment. I recall reading this in the past- but didn't remember what it was, and the closest I could come to this was the scene in "Ratatouie" when the Chef/Rat served the dish to the food critic- and one bite caused his childhood memories come flooding back with his Mom serving the dish.....
  19. Yes it was!! Aggie is still ahead with 2 weeks to go- trying my darnest to catch him!
  20. I thought it was fascinating.....I believe every experience in your life is stored in your mind yet you don't have a way to retrieve it.....recently I smelled a specific perfume in a department store and I recalled a girlfriend from 20+ years ago and these waves of memories about her came flooding back- something I haven't thought of in a LONG time......but don't tell my wife!!
  21. I added his picks....everyone has won a week so that's a good thing.....\ Remember- I have a 1/2 lb of honey from Kelly's Honey Farm going to the overall winner! Last 3 weeks!! THURSDAY GAME THIS WEEK!!
  22. I'm going to do the subscription series as well....can you imagine the prices for the "bonus" disc? I was wondering whether the bonus disc will be the free downloads from the 30 days of Dead
  23. Aw, c'mon. I bet vajerzy would reinstate your picks for the week, if you let him. I'd support that, anyway. I trust you to provide your actual picks instead of just picking all of the winners. Send them to me either here or a PM and I'll add them...remember it's for fun and you've earned the trust of everyone!!
