I'm a die-hard Eagles fan, and I don't like Vick- I was upset when the Eagles signed him. I'm trying real hard to seperate the football player from the man. The dog incident is but a long line of issues with Vick: Ron Mexico, bottle with the compartment with pot residue, giving the ATL fans the finger, his "birthday party" where one of his co-horts was shot....he had some incidents at VA Tech that went under the radar. IMO- he is trouble. I have no respect for him as a person- as a football player he is electrifying to watch.

I'm jealous The Richmond Flying Squirrels (AA-Giants) gift shop has the SF World Series Champions hats and sweatshirts- the hats are really nice! On Sat I spoke to Ross Grimsley- pitching coach for the Squirrels and we were discussing the pitching for the Giants and he was like a proud papa talking about Baumgartner, Cain and Lincecum...he worked with them in the minors- and glad to see them do well in the playoffs.

Did a search a few days ago. If you have the RCA Centenial box and the forthcoming Ellington Mosaic box, you have every official records made by the Duke in the '30s. Only session missing is the July 1933 date recorded in London for British Decca. That session is on the Jazz Unlimited CD 'The British Connection 1933-1940'. Nice!! I have the centennial box. I'll have to also buy the small group Mosaic box.

Technology provides an alternative. I may give this a go as I have the iPhone baseball audio ap which gives me a choice of the Rangers or Giants announcers. I sure wouldn't go through the trouble to hear Joe Morgan of ESPN radio instead though. XM Radio- I'll listen to the Rangers annoouncers. I'm excited to watch this World Series- this will be fun! and if you have a DVR- sync up the audio and TV so they're the same- makes for a more enjoyable game- and no Buck/McCarver!!
