Read the book "Damned Yankees" by Bill Madden and Moss Klein- Yankees in the Steinbrenner era- what a hoot!

In my mind- Clemens was a HOF-er when he left Boston.

Whenever I went to Yankees games and I heard his voice announcing the lineups- it gave me chills......like the voice of God...

They more or less are written. A book came this month on the subject, and there were already at least 2 released in the previous 5 years. So I guess we'll need some unwritten unwritten rules, unless no one bothers to read the books. Ok....didn't know that! I'll have to look for them. As a pitcher all my baseball playing days, I have a few including: "don't embarrass or show up your opponent" and "protect and defend your teammates at all cost".

I'm tired of hearing about the "Unwritten Rule"......it's like these oral traditions before the written language...how about we start writing down the "unwritten rules" so things are clearer.

I listened to him when I was a kid in NJ and the Tigers were on the west coast- I could pick up the late night signal- and I loved listening to him. It was fun picking up the various cities- St. Louis, Cincy, Cleveland, Boston, and of course Philly and NY. Now I have XM and it's all too easy to get games now. I'm appreciating Vin Scully for his game-calling. Just him- no announcer with him. I enjoyed Ernie Harwell. He was good and he seemed to be a nice man.

I used to sell box sets and other items on Ebay but have been shying away from in because of reasons above. I'd rather sell Mosaics and other stuff on the Board here because I trust people here and I have a higher degree of confidence that the sale will go smoothly. I'd rather get less money for a set with someone here, than take the risk and possibly get the sale messed up with Ebay.
