This house is called "Witches' Whimsy". You can see the Ennis House looming in the background. The weather vane is a witch riding a broomstick. -

A lot of really nice remembrances here: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/christopher-lee-dead-hollywood-mourns-801776?facebook_20150611 This from Martin Scorsese: “Sir Christopher Lee was my friend. I think of him every day, and I always will. We both wished that we’d been able to work together more, but it was a joy to make Hugo together. And to just be with him, just listening to his stories, in that beautiful baritone voice, stories about his time in the war, his time working during the heyday of Hammer, on all those wonderful pictures that are now considered to be classics, on eight decades in movies … “At a certain point they realized what a treasure they had, and they made him Sir Christopher. And that’s as it should be. He was a great actor, a wonderful friend, a REAL professional, and I’m really going to miss him.”

I think we'll start seeing more exclusives as a way to differentiate services (much the same as streaming movie services). Certain artists (or labels) will be exclusive to Spotify, others to Amazon, others to Apple Music, etc. The way the whole Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, etc is working out is each service is making many exclusive deals. So, if you want to see HBO series then Amazon Prime is your only choice, want to watch Seinfeld...then Netflix is your choice, want to watch same-season series the day after they air...then Hulu Plus is where you have to go for that.

I will happily use it for the free trial duration of 90 days and then I'll go back to using the free version of Spotify like I have been for the past 4 years. Almost forgot, I also have Prime Music from Amazon which comes with my Prime subscription. So I've got the free & paid streaming models already.

Thought I recognized this from the movie Somewhere, but turns out that was the Chateau Marmont. Now that I have a new camera I need to go back to the Chateau and take some more pictures. The Hollywood Tower is just north of the 101 Freeway (a few blocks from the Capitol Records building), the Chateau Marmont is located on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. -

Phil's pause track became stuck and he's now trapped in an alternate timeline.

The Flash (CW). I like it, old-school, "gee-whiz" style superhero show that brings back memories of Saturday Morning cartoons in the 1970s. Daredevil was finally the "superhero as an adult TV show" series and we needed that badly...but I think we also need just a pure, fun, pop confection like The Flash to balance out the spectrum, fun and frothy and not concerned with taking itself seriously. Community (Yahoo! Screen). Paintball episode last night, another good one. I'm glad we got this season, I doubt seriously there will be another because it's going to be too hard to keep these actors under contract (they only signed for a single season), so I'm enjoying what will likely be the final appearances of the Greendale gang. iZombie (CW) - Took a few episodes to get the tone right, but now it's clicking nicely in the "what if Veronica Mars existed in the Buffy universe?" mold. Lead actress Rose McIver is very appealing.
