  2. I own 20-25 of their re-issues. Master tapes, all analog. These make the ceedees sound like worn out cassettes.
  3. Fantasy, I think, still gives 10% off on orders over $100.
  4. The President Plays With The Oscar Peterson Trio (LP Here is one I'm looking forward to getting. Label: Speakers Corner Catalog Number: Norgran MGN-1054 Features: 180 Gram Import from GERMANY $29.99 Speakers Corner does incredible re-issues. I'd love to see a series of Norgran re-issues by them. They are also going to do titles from the Mercury Living Presence classical catalog.
  5. Yes, it's coming out on vinyl in late November(Red Trumpet... $29). Sounds like it will be nice except for the digital mastering.
  6. Mastered from the original analog tapes. Pressed on 180-gram HQ vinyl. All original packaging. $15.99
  7. Very glad to see you got it. I apologize for the Post Office(I'm a carrier). What year/s do these LP's cover?
  8. I have many of those mentioned, but the one I play most is "Rockin' The Boat" by Jimmy Smith(BLP 4141). I love it when people hear this for the first time. Always puts a smile on their face. I love it just for the way Donaldson enters each song.
  9. I really need to get off my ass and try this one Comes highly recommended.
  10. Conrad Johnson PV10 or PV12 with phono. Very nice tube pre-amps. CJ also has a couple stand alone phono pre-amps that I've heard are great. I'd audition a few first. The BAT and CJ will sound very different.
  11. USPS air parcel. I send LP's, etc. all over world. Should be $10-12 at most. Should take a week. Pack them in stiff cardboard. An LP mailer would work well.

  13. Hopefully, you'll get it by Christmas. Was it sent 'media'?
  14. Not me. 300 copies pressed? 3 seven inch and a one sided 10 inch. A niche within a niche... Where did you buy them?
  15. I'm classically illiterate, but I listen to and enjoy my 100+ classical recordings. I found 3 labels I really like, both for sound and music. RCA Living Stereo and Mercury Living Presensce and Decca, all recorded from mid-fifties to mid-sixties. Mr. Berger's list as many that I enjoy. Others I recommend: RCA Living Stereo: Scheherazade/Reiner Withches Brew/Gibson Capriccio Italien and Espagnol/Kondrashin Decca: Dvorak Sym #5/Kertesz Schubert Great C Major Sym/Krips Stravinsky/Petrushka/Ansermet Mercury Living Presence: Stravinsky/The Firebird/Dorati
  16. I've wondered about this, too. I'd like to see what a cover, shot with a good Nikon/100mm lens(or a large/medium format camera) and slide film(50 speed), with proper lighting would look like blown up to(24 x 24). Damn great I'd guess.
  17. Listening to Dorham/ Afro Cuban(5065) at the moment. What a classis and it sounds awesome. Chad pissed me off years ago with his high prices. On the other hand, what he's doing with his blues label is very admirable and they sound amazing.
  18. That's a great price. New, I paid $30 and that's the most I'll pay now. Hopefully, they will do this series again.
  19. Looks like Acousticsounds.com has most of them. Too bad they are selling in the $40-60 range.
  20. This may not be much help, but.... Contact Classic Records. They just did a blue vinyl re-issue of Kind of Blue. The folks at the plant they use(name eludes me at moment) probably can help you. Also, post this question here. It's visited by many in the industry.
  21. An Aro...that's a very nice arm. I've listened to one a couple of times. Uni-pivots are interesting. Almost bought a Moerch uni-pivot a few months ago. I have an Ittok LVII(black). 20 years old and still going strong. I've kept the LP12 sounding good by replacing springs, grommets, etc.. That's a bitch when you get a hard to find LP with groove damage. It's happened to me a few times. But, it's worth it when you find one that's hardly been played in 40 years. This Garott P77 is still sounding like a helluva cartridge for the money. I got it on sale. I used to use Naim amps until I went all valve.
  22. High expectations since he had so many gems: Takin' Off My Point of View Inventions and Dimensions Empyrean Isles Maiden Voyage
