Beatles and Stones have never received proper re-issue treatment. I do like like the sound of recent(last 10 years) Stones releases. The AC/DC re-issue series is all analog if they do it for you.

The Music Hall MMF-2 can be had for $270 and that includes cartridge.

Thanks for the info. It looks like they (New York label) are out there, but rare and in a Liberty era jacket. I think there are a few others like this. Brownie, nice post. You can still remember details on what you bought in '67.

This is for record collecting purposes. I can't recall seeing a New York pressing of this lp(BLP 4218), just Liberty's. Was this released later like: Andrew! and The Gigolo? My Goldmine says it was released as a New York pressing. Thanks!!

I've done/do what the two posters above mentioned and I do "disk cleanup"(XP) now and then.

Acually I think it is legit. I installed free ZoneAlarm and have not seen it since. Microsooft recommended ZoneAlarm as opposed to disabling messenger.

What do you know, a record that's in my rotation. Recorded 'hot', the music jumps out of the speakers. It sure does not sound like a quartet. I think it's Green's guitar that sounds like a small horn section on some songs.

Yep, the Vanguard sessions are great. I'm glued to my seat, slack jawed whenever I play these. The tone here is so unique. How about his take on "Over the Rainbow" from Ballads by Four/Galaxy? Worth a listen.

I'm feeling left out. They can be originals, reissues, Japanese, etc.. I have 200. I'm half way there. For the last year or two I've only been trying to collect originals.

I've bought all the vinyl re-issues from Sundazed and have enjoyed them very much. I have not sprung for the pricey Classic Records titles.

Can't answer your questions. I really like this album, too. If I did not know "Soul Serge" was a Freddie and company tune, I'd think it was Lee Morgan. "Blue Spirits" also sounds like something from Morgan's "Search For New Land"...or vice versa??

Many of these codes have been broken before they got to market. Digital audiophile labels will go under, do to the fact that this technology degrades sound quality.

Just got a beautiful pressing of this LP. It's on the Pablo label. Duke Elligton and Ray Brown...that's it. Dead quiet vinyl. Great sound. Analog to the extreme. Love it!!! It's very easy to forget it is a recording. The instuments sound that real and undistorted. I'll others comment on the music. Laid back and smoothly swinging is what I enjoy about it. So, if you do not have this one yet, get it!! Thanks again Dmitry!!
