Au contraire, Jason is an excellent vibes player, a fine drummer, and plays in his groups with quality New Orleans musicians like Oscar Rossignoli, Derek Douget and Ashlin Parker, none of whom are boring. Jason is not "goofy"; he is scholarly and personable.
