  1. Your Chuck is showing.
  2. Oh man, that bit is classic. I also loved the sketches where Conway would be the old man and move in super slo-mo. He would just DESTROY poor Harvey Korman.
  3. I just heard this on the news. I loved him on the Carol Burnett show- his interaction w/Tim Conway was priceless. He was also a jazz fan- he once showed up at a hotel lounge where I was playing in KC. And his contributions to Mel Brooks' films were fantastic. I didn't know that he did the voice of The Great Gazoo on the Flintstones. Sad news. RIP
  4. Wow, sorry I missed that. It is quite a complex procedure.
  5. A couple timeless TV themes (for those who like such things ). RIP
  6. Lessley Safer?
  7. Tyner used a harpsichord on that LP. I just checked my copy and he plays both- harpsichord on "Celestial Chant", celeste on "Once I Loved" and both on "Land of the Lonely".
  8. Lakers lucked out with the no-call on the last play. Would've been 3 free throws! Stick a fork in the Spurs, I'm afraid they're done.
  9. The husk gets all charred and turns black, but the corn is fine inside. Great flavor, much different than boiling it.
  10. Got some really nice filet mignon from Costco. They do have great meat there! Also a killer mango salsa. Grilled one along with some corn and small red potatoes. Grilled corn is soooooo good! Soak the husk in water for a while before grilling.
  11. Still available.....
  12. I didn't know that. I remember using his "Scoring for Films" text in college. He wrote/arranged some good TV theme songs (like the version of "Danny Boy" for the Danny Thomas show, and the Dick Van Dyke theme, among many others). The TV theme song sure seems to be a lost art. RIP
  13. ....and stops to tune the violin! Yes, BF, by all means let's keep this thread on topic! (whatever that is)
  14. So now you've met Chuck. Welcome to the board!
  15. I sure wish that was possible, believe me! Unfortunately gigs here & there (mostly "there") make it a necessary evil. Gotta go where the work is.
  16. I've always enjoyed his work as both actor and director/producer. When I think of his acting, the first thing that pops into my head (for whatever reason) is his performance in Tootsie. His scenes w/Dustin Hoffman were hilarious. RIP
  17. Paying extra really sucks, but I'll do whatever it takes to get an aisle seat. The middle seat is HELL (espcially when you're big & tall). No armrest priviledges. I recently got stuck w/a middle seat (after being rebooked, so I had no choice) and it was awful. Once the seat belt light went off I got up and stood for 2 1/2 hours (sometimes the flight attendants won't let you do this, but I had a sympathetic FA on my flight). Flying has become this hellish gauntlet you have to endure to get to your destination, and it's only going to get worse. Yippee!
  18. Trombone Shorty Shorty Rogers Long Dong Silver
  19. Frolf! Used to play a lot in college, haven't done it for years.
  20. Happy Birthday, Bro!

    You rock as always!
