I was fortunate to be part of the Savannah Music Festival again this year- the final concert for the "Savannah Swing" portion was tonight and I had the honor of sharing the stage with Marcus Roberts, Aaron Diehl, Bill Peterson, Dave Bales, Dave Stryker, Rodney Whitaker, Jeff Eckels, Rodney Jordan, Terell Stafford, Sean Jones, Jon Faddis, Jim Ketch, Herlin Riley, Jason Marsalis, Leon Anderson, Ron Westray, Wycliffe Gordon, Jack Wilkins and Bill Kennedy. *whew*......there was a lot of music up there tonight- I am indeed a lucky man.

What's going on with the site? I can't get anything to download. When I try to purchase something the screen just goes blank. I've tried using Firefox, IE and Safari, and reinstalling the download manager. Same result. This has been going on for quite a while and I'm getting tired of it. According to the emusic message board it's a problem for many customers (who are about to bail). Anyone alse having this problem? Seems like the issues are on their end.

Definitely a foul- he's not even holding the instrument in a correct playing position (not to mention any kind of embouchure) but it's a great picture anyway. Stan is holding the trombone fairly awkwardly but Ollie looks fairly natural on the trumpet (plus the requisite cigarette in the left hand). Love the hipster vibe!

Looks like a result of the mild winter is going to be an early and rough spring for allergy sufferers. And lots more mosquitoes.

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes! I have many wonderful friends here. I think it's impressive that this forum has been around for nearly ten years (10 year celebration in 2013?) and continues to be a great place to hang. Although it has cost me a lot of money. A LOT of money. Cheers!

Tonight I got to hear Doc Severinsen with his touring big band. Doc is 84!!! and still playing great. Very good back up band too, including Ernie Watts. Tomorrow, jazz brunch with Eddie Gomez, Stefan Karlsson and Ed Soph. Jazz brunch? WTF?
