Oh damn, that's awful! He was still a fairly young man. I sure have enjoyed his playing over the years, going back to the work he did w/Woody Shaw. Sad news.
Rest in Peace.
You mean the long-box format?
No I think he means this one, the square plexiglass box:
Yes, it first came out in that plastic monstrosity, then later was issued in the longbox.
Oh yeah. I've posted about them before. I get a buncha stuff from them- they have great smoked paprika, ancho chili powder, also a great seasoning blend called "Florida seasoned pepper" (don't know what makes it "Florida"). Love Penzey's.
The last time I was in the VV (about a year ago), the pillar on the right was still there.
I assume it's been there all these years because it was load-bearing, but for some reason I thought I had heard that they somehow got rid of it. Probably just urban legend.
Nice pics Agg! Very attractive ladyfriend.
Was that your first time at the VV? The first time I went down those stairs it was really exciting*- lots of great vibes there. Did I hear they got rid of the big pillar that blocked the stage?
I hope you had a slice of NY pizza! :rsmile:
*(also much like the first time I walked into Wrigley Field)
Really interesting stuff, Chris.
So I wonder why Hendrix wasn't listed on the Woodstock ad? Do you know if he was he a late addition/confirmation?
EDIT: I also liked the mention of "curious food and fruit combinations to experiment with". hehehehehehe
