Hey Sensei, I just found this site while searching around a little bit. http://microgroove.jp/mercury/Limelight.shtml It doesn't show album covers for either 86025 or 86031, BUT there is a note under 86031 mentioning that it was a special release for Columbia Record Club.

I just spun this disc this morning. I arrived back home in Tennessee after a week-long trip to Michigan and Ohio to visit the Fam. Sometimes, vacation is more work than work! Anyway, I really enjoyed it. The first track has become a holiday fave in my house. Way to start out a BFT right! A most excellent collection. My favorite moment came during track 5 when the band started quoting 'Birdland' right in the middle of 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas'. A great collection that will be played in the Dye house for many Christmases to come.

There's another one that badly needs remastering. I know it's another Horace Silver, but it's probably my favorite. Mention this one, please, Kevin... It's probably my favorite too, Paul.

I believe the original purpose of the RVG series was to get the best selling catalog items remastered and out in the stores again. I doubt we'll see too many obscure titles like a Vick or a Braith. That's what the Connoisseur series is for. Blakeys and Silvers are their bread and buttah. I say, bring 'em on! Tokyo Blues, Baby!

It's funny how this board works sometimes. I was at the store the other day and was considering this: I almost picked it up. It appears to be a 3rd live album that went unreleased until recently. I guess I know where I'm headed after work.

Guys, I have been trying, but I haven't been warming up to the CD's. I'm going to continue to try, but as of now, I just don't connect with anything other than the mystery. It's a great story, but as for the music...i don't know. Maybe the light will go on for me, maybe not. We'll see. It's been a challenge!
