Well, I arrived home tonight to a package from Corwood Industries! I split a box with someone on the mailing list and have 11 CD's to start my Jandek adventure. First up is Ready For The House, ripping to my hard drive as I write this. I'll report my findings to the committee.

I bought a Saturn record back in 1991 when the Arkestra played at Michigan State. I've never even played it. It came in a blank sleeve, The record label is purple and has a date of 1973. Side A The Satellites Are Outerspaceways Inc. 143000 Stereo and Side B 1. Island In The Sun 2. The Invisible Shield 3. Janus 144000 Stereo There is also an address Saturn 5628 Morton St. Philadelphia, PA 19144 I gotta find a turntable!

I just transfered my liitle web page from thechain to www.affordablehost.com. I am pretty excited so far. They have a program called cpanel that you use to administer the site. A couple clicks and you have an invision board installed. It makes everything really easy. They have dedicated servers as well. On their site they say that they are willing to work with you on pricing and details. If you want to check it out, send me a PM and i'll give you admin access so you can play around. It's really impressive. The only downside is that Nessa might have a problem since the servers are in Grand Fucking Rapids. Other than that, it seems like a good company.

I can understand why Mike did that. It's still pretty gracious of him to allow a status thread for Jim. Maybe it's time to consider a new back-up plan in case the Big O goes down again. Perhaps a mailing list that members can subscribe to? I know Jim can send a bulk email to all forum members as forum admin, but that's useless if he can't access the board.
