  1. An Argo album I have never seen (nor heard!)...
  2. CD1 from that double Storyville CD was also released years ago on the Jazz Unlimited label that was used by Storyville to issue rare broadcasts material.
  3. To each their own, but this is a nightmarish proposition for me. Tend to agree. There are very few Billy Taylor I enjoy. Hadn't listened to that one in years and just wanted to check on it. The LP is getting several more years of rest! Now listening to: Ray Charles 'The Genius of Ray Charles' (Atlantic, stereo)
  4. I just love that Dig Ben box and return to it quite often. Like sipping into aged Armagnac. It goes right to the heart and the mind! One more fine Storyville box!
  5. Um... it's Dakota Staton Oops... thanks for catching my errors Have corrected my post
  6. Intégrale Louis Armstrong, volume 11 (Frémeaux & Associés)
  7. Billy Taylor 'With Four Flutes' (Riverside, mono)
  8. Jimmy Rushing 'Every Day I Have the Blues' (Bluesway, stereo)
  9. Woody Herman 'Hey! Heard the Herd?' (Verve, stereo)
  10. The main thing AFAIAC is that CT and the Celebration concerts get coverage in The New York Times which is a rather good sign of his status these days!
  11. Miriam Klein 'Ladylike' (MPS/BASF)
  12. Still have those two originals. FM cover (non-laminated) was designed by Frank Gauna The Douglas vinyl had laminated front and back covers! Both carried the same photo of Dolphy on their back covers. The one that was on the front of the Douglas LP.
  13. Don't want to miss a single one, eh! Trust you'll enjoy them! Cheers!
  14. Le Chant du Monde has released a series of 2CD by Berry Carter, Abbey Lincoln and Dakota Staton that reunite various albums by these singers. Betty Carter Abbey Lincoln Dakota Staton Track details can be seen within each link.
