Does that hold true for other Audio Fidelity LPs? I wouldn't be surprised... But I never saw the mono editions of these! 'Trails of Tears' is not an album I return very often. Because of its theme (the 19th Century forced deportation of Cheerokees), the mood is very somber and you have to be in the right mood to listen to it. But then it is a very rewarding experience. Coursil remains one of the more interesting musician currently creating works of art!

I took part in a panel about Albert Ayler in the late '60s shortly after Ayler's concerts at Salle Pleyel. Jef Gilson was very much against Ayler's music. I was on the opposite side. Never was a fan of Gilson's music after that!
