  5. The set looks good and seems professionally conceived. A look at the other items from the Coda catalogue shows it is a serious operation. Ubu asked: Would this include the CBC live releases? I am not aware of any pre-1958 Peterson release from CBC. Are there any?
  6. Have a Very Happy Birthday

  8. The Mosaic box was the studio recordings, here is a non-Mosaic box with the OP Trio live concerts recordings from 1952 to 1958, a 4CD box The box seems to be the first music release from Editions Coda, a specialized Paris-based publisher (apologies to non-french reading people)!
  9. Dannie Richmond 'Jazz A Confronto' (Horo) with Jack Walrath, George Adams, Don Pullen, etc...
  10. Widely available from Amazon.fr at reasonable prices!
  11. Since Verve sat on this material for much too long, the best way to listen to the music so far was this double CD from Spain's Definitive label that came out under Bob Brookmeyer's name
  12. Isn't malapropisms derived from the french mal à propos (inappropriate)?
  13. Johnny Mercer Select, disc 3
  14. Horace Silver 'Silver's Serenade' (BN, mono, NY label, RVG stamp and ear) Wanted to compare this to the McMaster CD release which I listened to and which left me so disappointed. No comparison! The CD sounded flat and missed all the sharp outbursts of Louis Hayes' drumming or the deep mellow fingering from the bass of Gene Taylor that I remembered so well from numerous listening of that mono LP!
