Uh, no, I reckoned that subsequent requests would include addresses. I mean, its not necessarily true that all participants will continue, so if with each new test, people have to declare their interest, they might as well include their address too.
-
Up, cause it looks to me like there are quite a few participants who haven't come back to post on the Answers thread. Shouldn't that be a requirement? I think it should be an expectation, at least. Like Rooster-you were deep into the puzzling things out-no reaction to the answers? (Don't mean to call you out on this, I just figured you'd have something to say ...

Peter, I plan to post the master list on Friday when I ship to the American participants. Basically I think I've caught everyone though its possible I missed somewhere. We're at 28 participants all told, a large increase over Tony's test.

I just sent a PM and got the same Sprockets error (would you like to touch my monkey? but I am assuming that it still arrived. I don't have a problem posting though. And still no e-mail notifications of PMs received. EDIT: I DO have a problem posting, I got the same weird error message now, but since I've seen people getting snookered into multiple postings, I didn't use the back button so I avoided padding my total there. Really not good though.

We've been very happy with our Norton Firewall. My wife entered our C/C info and on multiple occasions, it has blocked this info from going out on the request of websites like MSN and others. We never get an acceptable explanation of why the websites tried to get the info in the first place, but its good to know that the firewall is doing its job. -
Does that include taking the garbage out?

Tom, since I am not sure if the PM function is working, I'll get the message to you this way: I've exhausted my budget for European deliveries, however, couw has graciously agreed to send you a burn as soon as he receives his copy, so you should be taken care of, probably by the end of next week. Thanks Dan

Hey Use, Here's the error message that comes up when I try to send PMs. Mail Error! SMTP protocol failure! Host: localhost Return Code: Return Msg: Invision Power Board Error: Could not open a socket to the SMTP server Check your SMTP settings from the admin control panel Apparently messages are getting through, though I haven't seen a single e-mail notification all morning, and I got four duplicate messages from one member alone!
-
And is much better than the red one they've designed for this issue.
-
No troubles, you are in Noj!
-
Actually, Tom, they are working too well, I've gotten 4 of them so far! Could you e-mail me so we can discuss this? dangould@hotmail.com Thanks! ******************** And folks, please use the above e-mail for signups, as the PM system is a bit screwy right now. Thanks.

I think the board is acting up, big time. I've had trouble replying to PM's, and I've received four copies of a single message. And none of the e-mail notifications have come through either!
-
Well, its a good thing, cause I voted for Vic based on the assumption that we were talking about the same music that's on the comp.! So I guess I can <sort of> contribute to the AOW.

Agreed on the talismanic-sports connection. Several years back, Florida State was playing Florida and losing 31-3 in the fourth quarter before mounting a remarkable comeback to come out with a tie that felt closer to winning than anything imaginable. When the comeback started, my friend's cat had crawled into my lap and after the second TD, I figured I couldn't let the cat leave my lap under any circumstances! The cat wasn't happy, as with each subsequent score we were bouncing around, but by the end of the game, I felt as if I had done my share to help the team win And its the same way for me with the book that became Field of Dreams. I know I'm being manipulated, but yeah, I choke up when he asks his Dad if he wants to have a catch, like any American male who grew up with baseball and a Father.

Actually, King, I think that since you started the wayward threads, you can go back in and delete them without invoking the Fist.

Congratulations and much happiness to you and the soon-to-be Mrs. My wife (you know, the internet wh*re) and I will be celebrating our second anniversary two weeks from yesterday. In fact, I just ordered something from tiffany.com when I came back here and saw your announcement.

Up for some more signups! We're at 25 right now, Lots of newcomers but many from the first test aren't signed up for #2.
-
Actually, Lon, the Vanguard comp. "Nice Work" has seven of the ten tunes that are on "The Essential," that is, if AMG can be believed.
-
Feel free to post your guesses on my CD here Randy.

GoM, that Yankee win was huge for you guys, but it can't make me forget the thrill of hearing "Let's Go Red Sox" in Yankee Stadium on Saturday after pounding Clemens around the yard! But that win makes it awful tough for the Sox to catch up with 20 left, especially considering that our schedules are almost exactly the same, except that you get Detroit for three and we get Cleveland for three. Can you tell what my Avatar is? My favorite Norman Rockwell, and since I switched to it, the Cubbies have taken over first place!
-
And one more announcement, for the record, my test does have a "theme" though it might not be perfectly cohesive.

Oh, and here's the irony: I pulled my Dickenson CD, and it turns out to be the Vanguard Comp., Nice Work, so what I have is Showcase Volume 2 and Septet. So, I have no idea how this compares to the actual Dickenson that's been chosen.
