The Stamps win the Grey Cup! Calgary Stampeders 20....Hamilton Tiger-Cats 16 http://www.tsn.ca/stampeders-jump-out-to-big-lead-hold-on-to-beat-ticats-in-102nd-grey-cup-1.148326 http://cfl.ca/article/grey-gallop-stamps-champs-with-win-over-ticats http://www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=cfl/news/news.aspx?id=783090 http://www.cfl.ca/statistics/statsGame/id/12827 Good video http://cfl.ca/video/index/id/107353

BF, if Banks' touchdown had counted and there were no further scoring, the final score would have been Hamilton, 23-20, and the contest winner would have been you!
-
Final... Calgary Stampeders 20....Hamilton Tiger-Cats 16 Brandon Banks ran a kick back for a touchdown with 35 seconds left, but it was called back for a clipping penalty. Bo Levi Mitchell has now won a Texas state championship in high school, a college national championship (I don't know the level) at Eastern Washington, and now the Grey Cup. Congratulations BClug (who is at the game)! Please PM me your address, and I will get your Mosaic gift card out to you.

Medlock has kicked three field goals in the fourth quarter. With 2:05 left, the score is Calgary 20....Hamilton 16. That's good news for BClug!
-
Jeff, no, Damon Allen retired a few years ago, and has been elected to the Hall of Fame. Did I ever tell you that he came to my 1995 Grey Cup party? ***** After three quarters, it's now Calgary 20....Hamilton 7. The Ticats' time of possession in the third quarter was only a little over three minutes. If there is no scoring in the fourth quarter, Hardbopjazz will be our winner!
-
At the half, it's Calgary 17....Hamilton 7. The Ticats' offense was much better in the second quarter. Justin Medlock had a field goal attempt blocked - otherwise the score would be closer. Mitchell continued to look great. He threw one 43 yards off his right foot while running to his right.
-
After the first quarter, it's Calgary 7....Hamilton 0. Mitchell has looked great, hitting six different receivers. The Ticats' offense has yet shown much.
-
Calgary has won the toss, and defers. Hamilton will receive. The contest is now closed.

I'm happy to see that Amazon now has the Acryl-It platter back in stock. However, now it doesn't matter because I've spent much of my Amazon gift card balance on Christmas presents! http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0097CY4NQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=RVSBV717YT9&coliid=IYYASBANK870V

Last night while I was recovering from my annual massive dose of tryptophan (a four-hour nap!), all of Vancouver attended the CFL Awards banquet. And the winners are... Elimimian Elimimian Cornish Jones Waters McCoil http://cfl.ca/article/un-d-niable-elimimian-makes-history-with-mop-honour

So far, only three have picked Hamilton, so there are many good chances on that side of the board. Noj, as I recall, didn't you win one year because you picked a lower total than anyone else did?

Happy Birthday 2014 BFrank! The late Patrick McGoohan also wishes you the best!

Non Jazz Albums (Or Songs, etc.) That Rocked Your World
GA Russell replied to paul secor's topic in Miscellaneous Music
Noj, I got that Demon Fuzz album the summer of '71, the same time I got the first Osibisa album. I think you're the first person I've known who is familiar with it! (Probably MG knows it well too.) -

Thanks, erwbol! I'll have to take the time to check to see, but that strikes me as perhaps being one of the two discs which make up The Classic Blue Note Recordings. http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Blue-Note-Recordings-Remastered/dp/B005JMMBQA/ref=sr_1_50?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1416983879&sr=1-50&keywords=wayne+shorter ***** Not jazz, but I can recommend this.
